- College is improving day by day teaching faculty is also helpful it recently got A++ NAAC credition as well
- Overall college is good if you have good peer group.
- Near to north campus so doesn't really feel much of headache if you want to visit regularly.
Dislikes
- Shadara is not a good place to spend your college life.
- Evening college crowd has made the reputation of the college bad.
- Near by area is not safe for Girls in late hours.
Course Curriculum Overview
I don't know about the recent conditions but in out time there was no option to choose tally course which really pissed us. Curriculum is also not very updated . Teachers are good but some times infrastructure leads to less output Exams are easy and presentations are fun to give.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like nex jobb and other not so known companies come here. Jobs offered are call centre types of like cold calling , field marketing,Hr ( strictly for girls) . If you have done anything worthwhile in college you would be placed with certainty. Even if not done then still with low pay you will be placed given that you are good at communication.
Placement Experience
6th sem is the first time college placement are proceeded . Companies are not impressive and mostly are entry level jobs such as cold calling and such which they offer. Highest package was 4 lpa and avg was 2.5 only. Around 60 percent students gets placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid 16000 then 20000 then 22000 for final year. Apart from this only exam fees is paid which is around 750 and benefits for sports quota is also available in the college.Here the sports quota students pay like 2000 only per sem
Campus Life
Fests like enigma and other cultural fest are held . Books are limited first come first served . Hockey is the only sport which the college excels at .Many clubs are there music ,Drama , Photography etc.
Admission
I got Motilal Nehru College South Campus in first allotment but couldn't get into it as I missed there fees payment window so I had to pay application fees again and end up in Shyam Lal college worried about not getting into other college as I missed the previous windows . Process is simple just apply through DU official page and select the collge you can get into .
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is very commendable you would never have to compromise for that in the college. I personally liked Romsa shukla, Deepika Kumari,Neha mam and Radha bhola mam. There are no such teacher who would be problem . In my time we had only semester exams and some unit tests which are easy to deal with.
Interview Experience
No it was purely based on merit and I am from Covid batch so Cuet was not there back then only 12th class percentage was considered.But I think now the crowd is much better since Cuet started as students must have prior knowledge about colleges and it helps them to select the best fro them.
Night Life
Cafeteria is decent no hostel is available so you can imagine what it feels to be in a college without hostel. Nearby famous areas are some cafes and maybe some new areas would be there by now to hangout and yes the vishvidyalay station is near so you can go there too.
