College is good in everything i must say our University has reasonably good strength of regular faculty and has 81 regular faculty members are on rolls in different departments majority of them are the Doctorates and some of them are foreign teaching and Research experience.

We have a schedule which helps us a lot and not burdening us for the final exams. Even we have the Mid Exams before the final semester exams which will be added for the internal marks, and most of the exams are case based. Students are given case and they are supposed to analyse that and right an assessment or answer given questions within 2-3 hours.

In my opinion the course structure is good i have an ample time to study or play we have 3 to 4 classes a day on an average and we had CIP classes which will make us to get experienced about corporate culture. I done my MBA in Finance.This is under Mysore university which will provide only single specialisation, It's a 100, years old university.

Campus life is good over here. The students not only from various parts of state but from entire country stay harmoniously and peacefully. Ragging does not take place in the campus. College fest. there are techinical and cultural fest that is organsied on periodic basis. people have plenty opportunities. there is dance and lots of other activities. also we get invitations from IIT Ropar and other good colleges to articipate in fest. in my batch people went to iit kanpur to present their project.

Awesome faculty. Can go and discuss at length about them. Only problem is that the whole cult is punjabi and you might feel a little out of place if you're from outside punjab. but they communicate in english only so it will not be a barrier. You have to be your own boss and take ownership of your issues and doubts.

The college is pretty strict so the college life is kinda confining plus the small campus takes you down even more but the gender ratio is fairly tilted there are an influx of girls more than boys in the college yeah lol but the faculty members also consist of fairly large amount of women the students belong to different caste, creed, races and religion and me being a northeast was never discriminated since people all came to equal grounds and are very down to earth and one more important point is that the college has no political groups which is kinda relaxing

My brother himself was the alumni of the college and I got in because of his advice i don't regret the decision I've made to join the college in some ways but the campus is the negative point of the college we don't really have a good campus to chill around in,no filmy things around expectations and reality were different but study wise its a hell of a climb education matters most her well its acceptable in some ways since the classes fill in for the other banes and yeah you will find of your life here too well

I appeared in JEE MAINS In 2013. I scored 116 marks and cutoff for mechanical was around 115. You have to fill the HPTU counselling form which is available in any polytechnic of himachal Pradesh. Then attend the counselling at Baru hamirpur. Counselling may be carried out for about 3 rounds and one spot round (at sundernagar only). You can get the textile branch if you have scored around 70-80.

Placement and job opportunity in our college is not up to the mark. Being a Mechanical student , i don't see any placement in a good company related to our branch. Although we have a lot of gate qualifiers every year. In textile and ECE we have a good placement record with 100 pc placement in textile who complete their degree.
