My two year stint with ASB was a very enriching experience. The management programme is broad-based and specialized in business education, which helped me to counter the conflicting situations in the business environment with elan and confidence. It has helped me to develop the basics of business methodology with integrity wherein I am able to apply the same in the day to day transactions and thereby leading an effective and qualitative performance. ASB has led the foundation of the ethics in management that has helped me build blocks of practical experiences which continues till date. Our core, honorary and adjunct faculty stands out for its sound academic credentials and impressive industry experience.

Though MCA is trendy course but as per my perspective , they have to change the subject pattern and make it compatible with today market demand. As we know only basics but that is not enough to get good placement , for this either you join any institute or online classes. My view is modify course and bring s those things which are talk of town.

Well , i am greatly thankful to IGNOU . Though it is open university but all faculties are sincere and good mentor. I have many friends of other streams like B.tech and mca of other university but in terms of knowledge , i find myself a unique attitude that are credited goes to IGNOU members.

Most of the faculty in UIET is quite qualified and helpful. I've always got a high level of guidance from the teacher when it comes to creating my projects. On the other hand, there are very few inexperienced teachers too. Learning from these teachers is very challenging. But I really appreciate the effort they made to give their best to share the knowledge they have.

In the first round of admission, online applications were accepted. In this round, I wasn't able to secure a seat in UIET. During the final round, Chandigarh level admission process was conducted in Punjab Engineering College, in which I was able to get a seat in IT department of the college.

I had accompanied with my parents ,and there was a small personal interview and after that i followed the instructions of filling the form payment of the term fees etc and my seat was confirmed. The process was not complicated like many other colleges where lot of processes take place before one moves forward.

The course curriculum was good as all the faculty related to the course did their part well and were quite mature and taught well i personally felt that it was good and it was taught more on practical side hence was quite effective,if one had to look on the point of research then also i would say it good.

I attribute my professional competence to the state of the art education and the continuous support I have had from ASB. The main differentiator is that as alumni I have been able to continuously seek and obtain knowledge from the Institute. This has given me the confidence to face the challenges as I can bank upon Amrita for any knowledge related issues not only because the institute is supportive to the alumni but also because of the state of the art technology. The clean campus, the serene atmosphere and the environment friendly outlook coupled with an excellent infrastructure makes it an ideal cradle for harnessing knowledge.

Campus life is at its best during festival celebrations. The energy vibrating in the air at such times is incomparable. The two most cherished festivals by the student community are Utsav and Pragati. Utsav is a gateway for student creativity via sports and cultural extravaganza. Pragati is a time when each Amritian personifies the ancient Indian saying, "Athithi Devo Bhava". This B-Fest hosted by Amrita School of Business year after year has been a benchmark in hospitality for student guests from other B-Schools.

B. Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering is a four year professional undergraduate program offered by Amrita School of Engineering. Electronic and communication engineering is concerned with applying knowledge in electronics to facilitate communication and solve engineering problems. The curriculum is organized such that it enables students to get a strong foundation on various aspects of electronics and communication engineering such as digital systems design, electromagnetic theory, digital signal processing, microprocessors and microcontrollers, electronic circuits, VLSI design, digital communication, analog communication, control engineering, and microwave engineering. While building a solid foundation of the fundamentals, the students are also exposed to emerging trends in the industry and are molded to be quality professionals of the future. The students are also provided an opportunity to choose specialization electives to focus on their identified areas of interest such as embedded systems, wireless communication, satellite communication, biomedical signal processing, VLSI fabrication technology, speech processing, and optical communication.

The amenities centre in the campus cater to various needs of the residents in the campus. Some of these facilities are LIKE THE Medical facility, it is A dispensary with a qualified doctor on-call twenty-four hours a day is available. Besides attending to the medical needs of the students, staff and others in the campus, the doctor also carries out routine medical checkup of the students every year. Specialist doctors from the city assist him in this task. also, there is a Canteen from 7.00 am to 7.00 P.M. every day. Day scholars, staff members and guests can avail themselves of this facility. Students living in the hostels may also make use of this canteen for additional refreshments. the college has a Store too. The General store caters to the stationery and other requirements like domestic goods, toiletry, provisions, etc. The store also stocks publications, audio/video cassettes, herbal/ayurvedic products, etc. produced by the Math.

The department offers B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and M.Tech in Computer Vision and Image Processing. I have passed out entrance exam for this particular course, my passion for chemistry and i like chemistry practicals made me choose this course. If you have got better percentages in previous exam then you get admission easily.

Many festivals are organised in the college. Every year one technical and one cultural fest of holded. Also since IIT gandhinagar was using our college buildings, there festivals are also organised in our campus. Festivals are organised on not very big scale but had lots of things. I mostly participated in tech fest events like live gaming, coding challenge, etc.

Exam structure is provided by GTU and is same for all the colleges. There would be one mid-semester exam of 30 marks and an end-semester final exam conducted by GTU of 70 marks. There are multiple choice, shorts, long and detailed QA in the exams. Everyday there will be lab work for one subject but it doesn't leave students tired.

B. Tech. in Aerospace Engineering is a four year professional undergraduate program offered by Amrita School of Engineering. Aerospace engineering deals with the design, construction, and study of the science behind the forces and physical properties of aircraft, rockets, flying craft, and spacecraft. The prescribed courses of study and syllabi cover areas like, design, structures, propulsion, aerodynamics and systems. The laboratories and workshops, detailed in the curriculum, have been framed to take up the challenges in Industry and focus themselves on research and development. The student has access to the latest versions of many analysis and design packages.

Tie-ups with the pioneering institutions like National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Indian Space Research Organizations (ISRO) etc., have served as eye-openers on the complexities of real life problems, both for the students and faculty members. this was really an edge for the students .

the college organizes outreach program, we used to lend our helping hand to the people of the village of Ettimadai. The village dwellers are our neighbors and we believe that it is our duty to help them.Outreach includes a lot of initiatives, but primarily we focus on an educational program wherein we teach the young kids in the village. We, their older brothers and sisters, try our best to ignite the fire of learning in the young minds of the village.Most children in the village are economically backward and need all the support they can get. Every week we sit with them and teach them different subjects. The students learn team games and other activities such as painting and drawing.

ASB is home to a plethora of clubs and committies. While some of these clubs are focused on specific functional streams, others organize special events like screening documentaries and movies. In addition to these clubs, they have a Students' Life Committee, a B-Fest Committee, a Colloquium committee, a Web Committee and a Placement Committee to manage a surfeit of activities at ASB. there are both national and international events celebrated in this college. recently, Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore, conducted the 20th edition of its national-level b-fest, Pragati. Pragati witnessed participation from more than 150 students from top business schools such as: IIT-Bombay, Thiagarajar School of Management and Christ University, KCT Business School, Rajagiri School of Business. “Business in Bytes” was the theme for Pragati 2016. The event consisted of an array of management games targeted at aspiring managers, and combined learning with fun. “Into the Storm” for finding the best manager; "Wolves of Biz Street", a business quiz; and "Pitcher’s Pack', for the best business plan were the flagship events. Four forums – GEN-M (Marketing), RELATIONS (Human Resources), FORTUNE (Finance) and OZONE (Operations) organized the games.“Pragati provided a platform to test our decision-making and organizational skills. It was an opportunity to compete with the best talents from various b-schools and learn from the feedback of the experienced judges,” commented a group of students from Christ University.

the college has the best placement in the country. the Highest CTC: Rs. 20. 8 Lakhs, this is by far the best a MBA graduate can get. 81 companies has approached students for Final placement. when i post graduated, i was given a package of 10 lakhs. i was recruited by federal bank. there are my companies which approached such as berger, ashok leyland, HDFC, castrol etc

Curriculum is very well discipline, Students have biometric to enter their classes so no issue of attendance being forged or manipulated. In ASB i have, over the years built a strong reputation for the value they have provided through the work done through their summer projects. The summer of 2009, for me saw ASB students involved in a wide range of live projects across the country. These included the mapping of business opportunities for Canon in Delhi, Hyderabad & Chennai; exploring chemist channels for Ranbaxy in the NCR region and Hyderabad; Measuring Training Effectiveness for Pantaloon in Bengaluru; an extensive market mapping exercise for NDDB in Haryana and Rajasthan; a study of the treasury operations of primary dealers for IDBI Gilts in Mumbai; Analysis of Presales Activities for i - Practice for Mind Tree, Bengaluru; process optimization using Six - Sigma tools for Brakes India in Chennai; an extensive consumer behavior study for Cavinkare in Tamil Nadu and Gujarat; and a working capital and inventory management exercise for Dhanalakshmi bank in Kerala. There are, i believe, three strong dimensions on which the ASB students have differentiated themselves.

A two-year, full-time residential program, Amrita's MBA is considered on par with the best in the world. The First year courses are compulsory for all students. Admission Process is very simple. You just have to give UPTU exam and then wait for the counselling date. After the result you can check which branch you can get as per the last year results. On the day of counselling you have to give 5000 and 500 Rs and have to fill your choice of branch in a sequential order. If the seat is available at your rank then you will get the admission in this college.

Campus Placement is just like a myth for our college. As far as i remember in 2013 there were two companies that came to our college for placement. One is Genpact that came to hire Technical Students for Call Centre job (Few got selected in that but never joined the company). And there was another company which was offering technical job and giving a huge package of 4000/- per month.

The gender ratio is skewed with around 70% boys and 30% girls. There were lots of extra activities, talk shows and debates. There were regular sessions from guest speakers who were well known speakers and guests from the industry. The students have a diverse background which was very useful.

It is not very expensive since it is a government University and not a private university. The total cost of the degree was around Rupees 60000. Even though I had not availed of a loan but banks do offer loans for such a program. The fees is paid twice a year. It is paid for each semester.
