No question about the quality of Faculty in this Dept. I don't know the current situation but in my time, in the of year 2004-2008, all of them were Doctorate and some of them have complete their PhD from UK also. They are very friendly and helpful also you can ask them help any time. We used to go their house asking for subjective help. Sometime student were got some financial help also from their teacher.

Faculty was mix of permanent and Guest. As this IIM was new a lot of faculty were guest and heavily influenced by IIM A, and C. This helped us to benefit in our understanding a lot. With class size being smaller every student got a good focus from the faculty and our involvement with the faculty were very high which resulted in them sharing more knowledge than usually possible in a normal class scenario.
Exams we re on going, there was not specific exam days, they ranged from surprise quizzes to midterm and end terms, but almost through out the term we had exams and it really does not matter when the midterm and end term came as you have been pretty much upto speed with everything, a revision was what basically needed if you have been attending classes, and BTW attendance was more than 90% mandatory.
Extracurricular activities are lots in therms of games( indoor and outdoor )the college team go to various places too for playing diff games and participating in diff competition Although the involvement of girls in those activities are limited i did not understood about this my whole college life the fest brought many extra curriculum activities for the students of all the years.
Its was not very cheap nor very expensive depending upon the college name it was affordable for most of the student. Although the bus bus facility was not optional which should have been as many of us did not use bus but had to pay for the same. The Library needs work and better books as the books did not match the magnitude of money that was paid by the student.

IBS has good number of companies who come for internship. Since thenumber of students are very high, so at times it becomes difficult for all to get placed. Students have to try on their own too for internship. The stipend goes upto Rs. 50,000 and some even work without any stipend.
Faculty was a mix of Senior guys from the industry with lots of practical experience, mainly retired professionals. Young faculties doing PHD who are having very good command over the subject matter and very enthusiastic.

The faculty I'd, much good than other colleges In stone departments it certainly good and it even lacks in done order requirements like attendance,a little of infrastructure but overall it good teachers are experienced and well educated college preference is discipline it takes regular classes of teachers with the director at regular interval.
No events and Festivals are celebrated. Students can celebrate by their own. Otherwise there is no faculty responsible for celebration. College President n vice President elections are conducted. They r responsible for such kind of events and celebrations. Students can suggest them for extra activities.

No comments because alumni organization was fantastic for this we will pay 300/- per head as alumni fee for organization. Which will be for two days in those all debates on campus and excellence n future aspects were discussed one of my senior passed IES and got rank of 148th felt proud moment.

Placements was not good in good college since no companies visited our college. But we got placed in pool campus conducted in other colleges.Around 45 students got placed in SLK, Cognizant, Global Edge, KPIT, Tech Mahindra, HCL, Jindal Steels and soon.
As prescribed by the Visvesvaraya Technological University. Electives: Mulitmedia Communication and Radar - Since communication is in great demand. Satellite Communication, C++, Optical Fiber Communication.
College is good if you want to opt for technical MBA where the growth is in later stage. But the initial package offered by companies is not so good. In terms of campus, it is one of the reputed college in north but there are better colleges in south.
i did internship in Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory commission. Since it is good to do internship in regulatory commission for power management students, there was no stipend. Where as in some private companies stipend of up to 15000 was offered.

College is located in good location. And events like Ignite and Urja are very famous. URJA goes on for 3 days, where DJ and Band are done. Also ICMI technical event is good, where papers are been presented by students and faculties.
I opted for Finance as a major. The course was well designed with many visiting faculties providing us with insights of the industry. We had the best professors in Mumbai teaching us Corp fin, equity markets and other finance subjects. We even enjoyed learning marketing in depth.
We has many events organised at our college such as P&G financial case study competition, Mahindra and Mahindra's business plan competition etc. Our cultural fest was called Prayaag which included many inter college marketing and finance competitions.
Many of the faculty were Post Graduates from IITs. All the HODs (Head Of the Departments) were PhDs (from reputed institutes). A couple of them having experience of being part of international projects also. Mechanical is perhaps the oldest & the most experienced branch of NIT Bhopal.
Networking was perhaps the first & most important thing which we learnt in this college. Seniors/Juniors were more like a family to us. Irrespective of the differences in Caste/Religion & place of domicile, we had a feeling of togetherness, perhaps the atmosphere in the college.
All in all campus life is good its fun my college is an engineering college and there are not a bunch of girls who opts engineering as their profession so the gender ratio is low. If we talk about diversity then this college is pick of the list i think i have met people from all parts from our country in our college. Extracurricular in this college are not that good the college management and administration focuses more on academics. College has enough labs, good equipment so there are no such flaws with labs. As i have written before sports and competition are given least priority in my college. Yes,my college has debate sessions so it is a good platform if you are interested in debates.
Our college has two fests, one is technical fest 'COLOSSUS' which is organised in october and the other is cultural fest "AMITECH' which is organised in march. During the two days of our technical fest, we have many events,i can't literally count them, they are many some of them are technical events some of them are fun events. During both the fests we also have many seminars and research paper presentation round too.
There are none or very less placements offered by college. The list which they show to grab students attention is almost fake. Because people who are getting placed by themselves wondering in other IT cities, they just collect their info and show.
There is no proper Alumini network and with senior students. If you want the only way is only social networking sites or personally. But I am sure you will not feel to back college to meet some faculty or administration once passed out.
Yes only for toppers. National Scholarships Portal is one stop solution for end to end scholarship process right from submission of student application, verification, sanction and disbursal to end beneficiary for all the scholarships provided by the Government of India.
Few talented faculties but their knowledge of sharing things is less. Laboratory is only for sake purpose. Theory and exams are focused here. Campus for high CGPA students.
