Each semester budget is allotted for such celebrations.Workshops and cultural societies - Extracurricular activities are encouraged in college. There are many clubs that are headed by students that conduct frequent events that cater to the needs of diverse set of people. There are regular competitions and inter hostel rivalry for the year cup too. Tolerance - We're a very diverse student body with students from all over India and a few foreign exchange students too. It's an extremely peaceful atmosphere and there is no discrimination whatsoever.

Students from many other colleges and from the neighbouring states attend too. They're fun filled and informative (lecture series, workshops, etc.)Apart from these, every department has their individual tech fests which are attended by IITM and other college students.
