There is no such diversity or gender ratio . Its a campus where one can gain enough knowledge. Unlike the other colleges it don't have any groups and disputes or regional gangs or feelings or disputes. Almost all the students in the college are well decent and their main motto is to have good knowledge on their studies. There is no racial discrimination even by the staff. The best thing is that there are no politics in the campus. If any student is found to be misbehaved or reason for any dispute he /she will be suspended for a few days which is obviously a bad remark in their conduct certificate.
They provide internship while in campus placements itself and the stipend they provide is Rs 10000 per month. And also the stipend process is very systematic, they will directly transfer the amount to our account. And the internship would be for an year or 6 months. I can list out a few companies that came to our campus:1.Redpine signals 2.Analog semi 3.Qualcomm 4.Digicomm 5.Intel 6.Analog semi 7.Broadcomm 8.Analog devices 9.DigiChipAnd also a few other software comapnies like TCS,Mahindra satyam,HP etc.

Internship didnt went that good. We were hired by some insurance company and which wanted us to do some research. However the one who was responsible to help us with the research has to go for some business trip hence the research never happened. Only the good part was they never asked us to sell any insurance and yes off course no stipend. There was only one company on campus which offered stipend of 8-10K but yes that was sales profile.
There was this annual function which use to happen once in a two years. Which was more culture and performance based. Includes singing, dancing and ramp walk etc followed by price distribution. Other than that college took us for industrial visit to Goa for 3 nights four days which included industrial visit and other team bonding activities.

Regarding the placements almost exact and every software company has visited. TCS, CTS take almost close to 1000. There is the concept of dream companies where you will be allowed to attend for only 3 companies which provide a higher salary. In Nondream companies, you cannot attend once you get a placement in a particular company.
Alumni have been very active. They conduct frequent meetings. No issues. The Linkedin group is very active. Emails are good. Foreign visits are good. May a point to consider is, in India, apart from Vellore they should consider other cities.

There is a lot of scope for extracurricular activities. There are amphitheaters where performances are organized every Friday. People from all the states of India can be found here and there is social harmony. There is less groupism.Gender ratio is 60:40 (m/f). There is enough gender tolerance and boys and girls take part together in most of the activities.
VITEEE. I secured 8154 ranks in the VITEEE 2010. Mechanical engineering has a pretty good scope and also the Mechanical course at VIT is ABET-accredited. The admission process is simple and first, the student has to deposit some money to secure his seat during counseling and the final payment has to be done after a month.

Faculty was fine but few teachers were really good and were always ready to help students. Attendance was a major criteria in getting roll numbers. Teachers of few subjects like Data structures, Maths were not up to the mark.

That time within the period of (2005-2008 ) ragging was in trend that's why in starting when i was a fresh student they misbehaved sometimes, but we were fully protected by college staff, and police protections, but after 1st year completion many seniors became my friend and helped me to prepare project submission and other activities.
