DTU Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester till the 8th semester. More than 400 companies visit DTU which includes all the big names such as Google, Apple, Microsoft, etc. The highest package was 2Cr international & 60l domestic. The average package is 14l. About 90% of students are placed. I plan to join a company after getting my degree.

So a student mostly gets placements in their respective branches. The placement rate is around 86% and also have packages in the range of 60-70 lakhs in the tech field. Around 15-20 companies from respective breaches visits and we get a job only after the completion of the degree

From 7th semester onwards, students are eligable for campus placement. Various top names come to our campus to hire. It includes big names like Google, Apple, Microsoft, Adobe, Samsung, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, BCG, PwC, Bain, Accenture, Delloite, HCL, Barclays, JP Morgan, KPMG, Bajaj, JCB, Siemens, Hero, Exonn Mobill, Reliance and many more. In my batch, more than 80% students were placed. Rest of them went for higher studies or preparing for goverment exams like UPSC.

1) from 8th semester onwards you are elligible to sit in campus placements . 2) Google, Microsoft, Myntra, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Deloitte these companies visited with an average package of my branch being 24 lpa. 3) highest package 1.5cr and average package being 16 lakhs for all branches included. 4) almost 90-95% students got placed. 5) take placements most accurate to me.

Students are eligible for placement in their final years. The average package are 6 lakh per annum. The highest package is above one crore for international placements. There are also trai and placement cell.

Faculty members are highly qualified, even the assistant professor in our college comes with a Ph.D. degree from a recognized institution, yet they suffer to keep class interactive. Talking about semester exam, they are of moderate level and many question are of previous year and student can easily qualify it by regular studying.

Campus placement is quite good if you are a computer science student as most companies want tech students. So students of civil, and mechanical departments are also trying to get placed in a tech company.

Students become eligible for placements after the 6th semester. More than 200 companies visit the campus for hiring, this includes all the companies you can think of, Microsoft, Google, and banking companies like Tower, Blackrock, and JP Morgan. Offers made are above 2500. The highest Package was around 2.4 crores this year. The average package for tech companies is above 20 lpa, for non-tech, it is around 12 LPA. More than 90 percent of students get placed, while others choose not to for different career options. It is easy. I wish to go for higher studies.

The syllabus of computer engineering and Information Technology is almost the same at DTU except with a difference of one compulsory subject in 4th year. The faculties are average. They have mostly completed their PHD. At the end before the exam you have to study all by yourself mostly from youtube. Most of the faculties are supportive and do not create issues for attendance.The student to faculty ratio is almost 60:1. There are two exams held each semester mid-term and end-term and studying 1.5 weeks prior to exams will easily help you fetch good marks. There is also one practical exam held for courses having practical components towards the end of each semester.

Students in 3rd and 4th semester are eligible for campus placements. The placements are great with average package of 19 LPA and highest package of 180LPA. More than 95% of the eligible students get placed every year.
