CEPT University Recent Admission Alerts and Updates

Admissions are open for Bachelor’s in Design (BDES) and Bachelor’s in Construction Technology (BCT). The last date to apply is 8 October 2020. Candidates who have taken UCEED are eligible to apply for BDES.

Candidates who have taken JEE Main can apply for BCT. For other undergraduate courses, admissions closed on 4 October. The merit list will be published between 13 and 15 October on the admissions website of CEPT University.

For postgraduate courses, merit lists were released on 8 June 2020.

For M.Phil and PhD courses, the last date for receiving application forms was 16 March 2020. The list of admitted candidates was released on 22 April 2020.

To apply to either BCT or BDES, go to admissions.cept.ac.in. Go to Programs, and click on “Under Graduate”. Then click on “Bachelor’s in Construction Technology” or “Bachelor’s in Design”. After that click on “Admissions Open- Apply Now”

Register with an email address and set a new password. Login again using those credentials. Fill out the application form online. A separate application form is required for each programme. A fee of 1,500 INR is charged for each application form. Keep a printout of the application form for future reference.

Established in 1962, CEPT University is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It offers various UG, PG and M.Phil & Ph.D. programs in Management, Design, Architecture, Planning and Technology courses. Application form for all the courses can be filled online by visiting the official website of CEPT University.

50% seats in B.Arch, BID and BCT courses will be filled through Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat. The remaining 50% will be filled on All India Basis with respect to CEPT University admission regulations.

  • B.Arch and BID admission is based on marks obtained in qualifying exam and NATA score.
  • Admission to Bachelor of Construction Technology (BCT) is based on marks secured in the qualifying exam JEE Main and CEPT Aptitude Test.
  • Candidates are selected for Bachelor of Urban design (BUD) on the basis of Aptitude Test only.
  • For B.Des., the university considers qualifying exam marks and UCEED score for granting admission.
  • Students have to qualify in the CEPT University Entrance Test followed by evaluation of work experience, marks in the qualifying degree and Interview to secure admission in the M.Tech Program.
  • For the M.Des course, CEPT University conducts a Common Design Aptitude Test followed by Subject Specific Design Aptitude Test.
  • Final admission to the M.Arch course is based on the evaluation of marks in the qualifying degree, Work Experience and Statement of Purpose (SOP) followed by an Interview.
  • Admission to Master in Landscape Architecture/ Design is offered on the basis of marks in the qualifying degree, work experience followed by a Written Test and Drawing Test conducted by CEPT.
  • For Master’s programs in Urban Planning, the admission is offered on the basis of marks in the qualifying degree and work experience followed by GD/ PI and Personal Interview round.
  • M.Phil & Ph.D. admissions are based on the Written Test followed by an Interview although GATE OR GRE score holders can also apply.

CEPT University UG Admission 2020

CEPT University offers B.Arch, BID, BUD, BCT and B.Des. courses at UG level. 50% seats in all UG courses except for BUD and B.Des. are filled on the basis ACPC guidelines and 50% on the basis of regulations set by CEPT University. The minimum eligibility criteria is 10+2 in the relevant stream.

For admission to B.Arch., BID and B.Des., candidates must have a valid score of NATA and UCEED respectively. For BCT, candidates must have JEE Main and BUD, the university conducts CEPT Aptitude Test.

CEPT University Application Process for B.Arch, BID and BCT Courses: Students need to apply separately for the seats to be filled by ACPC and on All India Basis. For the seats to be filled by ACPC, the candidates need to apply online from the official website on payment of INR 500 as application fee. For first-time applicants, the admission fee is 3500 INR, for students applying again (with same e-mail) the fee for admission is 1000 INR.

CEPT University M.Tech & M.Des Admission 2020

CEPT University also offers Full-time M.Tech and M.Des programs in various disciplines at the PG level. M.Tech program involves Students Exchange programs to enhance the learning experience. Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline is the minimum eligibility criteria.

For M.Tech admission, the candidates will be shortlisted for the CEPT Entrance Test followed by counseling. For M.Des, the candidates need to appear in the CEPT Common Design Aptitude Test and CEPT Subject-Specific Design Aptitude Test.

    CEPT University M.Phil & Ph.D. Admission 2020

    CEPT University also offers M.phil & Ph.D. programs at the Doctorate level in the field of Planning and Architecture. Admissions are generally conducted in two cycles, i.e., Monsoon Semester and Spring Semester in the months of July and January respectively.

    Admission is granted on the basis of the CEPT Entrance Test followed by an Interview although GATE or GRE qualified candidates are also eligible to apply. Application form can be filled online on payment of INR 3500 as an application fee.

    CEPT University Application Process 2020

    The university follows a common application process for all the courses offered at UG/ PG and Doctoral levels. Follow these steps to apply online:

    1. Visit the official website of CEPT University.
    2. Click on the 'Admission tab' in the main menu. You will be redirected to the course-list page.
    3. Click on the desired course followed by the ‘How to Apply’ link.
    4. Fill the application form and upload the required documents
    5. Pay the application fee online by Credit/ Debit Card or through Net-Banking.

    NOTE: The application fee is INR 3500/- for the first application and INR 1000/- for every subsequent application. Candidates can apply for more than one program.

    CEPT University Scholarship Criteria 2020

    CEPT University offers scholarships for UG and PG courses in terms of merit in the qualifying examination, score in the CEPT Admission Test and income of parents. Students can apply for the scholarship pre-admission scholarship.

    Pre Admission Scholarship: – This is means cum merit scholarship where students can avail the fee waiver of 25% – 75% on an annual fee. For this students’ family income is less than 10 lakh per year. In order to receive scholarships continuously, students have to maintain passing records with at least 2 CGPA and passing all the subjects in first attempt is mandatory.
