University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

After graduating, the students become eligible for placement and the campusing is very important and also the internships play a major role here. There are many big companies that visit the campus as, Microsoft, Infosys etc. They make a huge offer to these students because the skills, they learn through this curriculum, are highly demanded. According to the records, highest package is around 22 LPA and average package is nearly 12 LPA. Students get placements according to their learnings, so there is no guaranteed percentage. I have no plans till now.

Now-a-days, the jobs prospect and research score of statistics is much higher. By considering those factors, I opted for the course. CU should include more practical topics in the course which would benefit the students.

Specifically in the case of curriculum there are so many practical classes so that a student can be prepared for the real world application. The curriculum syllabus and professor of my college are so good in teaching and in other helps as well just like we celebrate comfortable to share our personal problem with them. The area for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching method I would suggest to provide good computer teacher.

The placement cell of the college brings companies and you can apply for a job according to their wants. There are companies like ZXomato, Microsoft, google , etc. that visited our college and as far as i heard the average packakage is 600000 LPA

in our university the placement record of chemical department is 100 persent. in our department the placement record for btech in this year is very low compare to last few years. in mtech you have to prepare your self well for coding to for core.

programming fundamentals, artificial intelligence, data science and machine learning, computer networking security, and web development. these are the few aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to take this course. thinking about the future these are the hottest topics like artificial intelligence and robotics will boom in the next few years. improvement needs in the syllabus like adding the recent technology to help students prepare for the industry.

The new curriculum has helped me in learning new subjects along the major subjects. The diverse aspect of the curriculum will help students to change their course subjects in the future. Although the curriculum is good flaws like too much work load on students can be seen. Tests are frequently one being taken in mid of the semester while other in the end.

Accounts and economics were my favourite subject at school hence I know what I wanted to pursue i.e. bcom(h) in accounts. The curriculum is prepared / designed keeping it's real world application in view.for example:- in the 6th semester we are taught tally which alone In real world can help us get a job. Also we needed to make a project which helped us learn many aspects of digital world. Viva which is held helps us build our confidence. The teaching method was up to the mark that is to say the teachers used projectors to make students learn and understand in a better way. Teachers are nothing but guardians there. They helped us and walked every step with us. Regular class tests were also being held so as to check the progress of the class. Once in every 6 months the exams are held i.e. every semester. If one pays attention and be involved in the class they won't find difficulty during exams.

Because I have done my High education in the field of commerce and accounting so just wanted to increase my knowledge in field of accounting College should make attendance compulsory for students to promote better learning environment Exam happen after every 6 month

At our time there was no placement was happened because of COVID but be have manage by participate in industry gathering, establish connection with professional on LinkedIn, and cultivate a network within our sector.
