Ques. Can anyone help out with some best tips for preparation of AIPMT, GUJCET, AIIMS?

● Top Answer By Ashish Tiwari on 14 Jan 21

Ans. For the preparation of the above three entrance exams, a lot of books and resources are available in the market and the web. For example, NCERT is considered to be the most important resource for AIPMT Chemistry. Considering the effort a candidate need to give or the concept of preparation to be more precise, here are a few salient points listed which can be considered for the best result: These kinds of entrance tests are constructed in such a way that students from all levels of intelligence are able to crack it. The main aspect of success is the zeal to do it and having the right strategy. These exams have a maximum number of questions that are of basic level difficulty. Solving maximum questions in time fetches more marks. The appropriate strategy is the first essential decision to be made during preparation. Do not try to cover everything in the depth, because hard work without a thought pays less than a smart strategized preparation. Sorting of the syllabus and important question sets should be done at the beginning, and topics should be stored in a queue and covered one after another. Generally, 60% of the questions in these exams are easy, 20% medium and 20% hard. Your main motto should be attempting the easier 60% with full efficiency. In solving the exam papers, the prime objective is to have maximum accuracy. This accuracy can be achieved only by revision and practice. It is advised that every subject needs revision approx 24 hours after it is learned. But the revision is entirely dependent on the candidate's habit, where some prefer to have multiple short revision sessions, and some have long hours of revision at once. The understanding of the subject matters most on the extent of revision needed. Physics and Chemistry need the most practice in the case of numerical and equation solving. The penultimate day of the exam has a serious effect on how much you will be able to perform. Enough sleep is a must. Having good food and staying hydrated all the time shouldn’t be ignored too. Collectively for the preparation, you should practice previous year papers (10 years at least), model question papers, cover all topics from which maximum questions are given (80%), consult people who have cleared the exam, follow the coaching teachers, work on his/her own shortcomings, and challenge own self for the best result.Read more

Ques. What are the differences in portion and preparation of AIPMT and GUJCET?

● Top Answer By Shivani Tiwari on 12 Jan 21

Ans. The Gujarat board has tried their best to replicate their books as much as they can with the CBSE books. Students appearing for GUJCET need to only prepare the 12th standard course. Students may find it difficult to determine their focus and time for 11th standard course or GUJCET.  Students need to make one of the exams their priority as the timing of both the exams clash with each other. Though, if any student has prepared for both of the examinations from the beginning and is very confident about doing well in both of them, then they may proceed to and opt both. Otherwise, the focus should be on one exam at a time. In Gujarat board, some questions aren't even rephrased or have diagrams with a missing label and the same diagram may not be there in other books which creates a lot of confusion. The duration is the same in both the exams, but GUJCET is less lengthy compared to NEET.  In GUJCET, there are around 120 questions as compared to 180 questions in NEET. Students need to practice time management to solve the paper on the given time limit. The rules and regulations differ in both the exams. The check-in isn't so strict in GUJCET while in NEET, they can even rip off your sleeves. Comparison between GUJCET and NEET Category GUJCET NEET Total questions 120 180 Exam duration 3 hours 3 hours Use of Calculator Allowed Prohibited Marks for each correct answer 1 4 Marks deducted for each incorrect answer 0.25 1 Another major difference is regarding the use of calculators. In GUJCET, it is allowed for students to use calculators while in NEET it isn't. Though, in GUJCET, the questions are sometimes a bit complex while in NEET, there isn't any requirement to use it.  The marking system also differs in both the exams. In GUJCET, students are rewarded 1 mark for each correct answer while 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer while in NEET, each correct answer is rewarded with 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted in case of each wrong answer. Though, students residing outside of Gujarat need to possess a domicile for appearing in GUJCET. So, students should take a note of the exam pattern of both the exams before appearing for it.Read more

Ques. Are the levels of GUJCET, MHTCET and BITSAT equal, or is there a difference in their difficulty levels?

● Top Answer By Jasleen Rall on 12 Jan 21

Ans. The level of both the exams GUJCET and MHTCET are kind of similar but the level of the BITSAT exam is higher compared to both the exams. BITS Pilani is one of the best private colleges in India. It is listed in the top five engineering colleges list every year. Even, it is assumed to be better than various IITs. The exam pattern of BITSAT consists of 150 questions. The time limit of the exam is 3 hours. Out of the 150 questions, there are 15 questions of English while 10 are of logical reasoning. In MHT CET, the 150 questions are entirely based on PCM and each subject has 50 questions. Students appearing for BITSAT need to practice more compared to those appearing for GUJCET and MHT CET. Students who are able to complete 150 questions before time then extra bonus questions are also provided to them. The main difference between BITSAT and the other two exams is the speed. Students need to fast to solve BITSAT on time along with bonus questions. BITSAT also involves a lot of critical thinking, depth of knowledge along with solving at same time.  So, the preparation needs to be good to perform well in all the exams.Read more
