    Gujarat Secondary and Higher Education Board will declare GUJCET 2020 Result in the second week of May at its official website. Candidates have to enter the seat number to access their results. The exam will be for the candidates seeking admission in BE/BTech/B.Pharma program of colleges in the state of Gujarat. GUJCET 2020 is scheduled to take place on March 31, 2020. 

    • The final merit list of GUJCET 2020 will be declared by ACPC on the official website i.e. gujcet.gseb.org
    • The merit list of GUJCET will be prepared based on the GUJCET score and marks in the 12th standard examination. 60% of the weightage is given to 12th marks, while 40% is based on the GUJCET score.
    • Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will regulate the counselling process based on the student’s rank in the exam.

    GUJCET result is announced by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Board, also known as GSHSB. Candidates can check their GUJCET 2020 result on the official website- gseb.org. Candidates can follow the steps given below to check their result.

    • Visit the official portal (i.e. gucet.gseb.org)
    • Enter your seat number. 
    • Your result will be displayed on the screen.

    GUJCET 2020 Merit List

    In GUJCET, merit list is made based on both the candidate’s marks in the Senior Secondary exam and in the GUJCET exam.

    • GUJCET merit list contains all the qualifying students’ names. The shortlisted candidates are called for further steps of admission. The merit list is made on the data of normalized scores and the number of vacant seats. ACPC prepares the merit list of GUJCET 2020 Students can check their rank in the merit list online. Name wise merit list is not available. Individual rank and score can be checked.

    • 60% weightage is given to 10+2 (Higher Secondary) marks and 40% percent weightage is given to the marks obtained in GUJCET examination.

    • Normalization is a fair grading practice. The scores are normalized because of different factors- different sets have different difficulties, etc. The final score is a good measure to find the candidate’s overall capability.
    • The formula used in GUJCET exam is: 0.60 x Class XII marks + 0.40 x GUJCET 2020 Marks = Final Score of the Aspirant

    GUJCET 2020 Tie-Breaker Criteria

    The following criteria is followed when more than 1 candidate scores the same marks in GUJCET:

    • Primarily, candidates who score higher in Physics and Mathematics are given preference. 
    • Secondly, candidates who score higher in Maths and Chemistry are given preference. 
    • If the tie is still not broken, sectional marks for all categories are compared. 

    Based upon the final score, candidates are shortlisted and the merit list is prepared.

    The cut off  for GUJCET 2020 will be released by the official authority, the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). The general cut off is published by ACPC along with the course wise and institute wise cut off. The opening and closing ranks of institutes will be present in GUJCET 2020 cut off.

    Several factors affect the cut off marks each year. While preparing the cut-off, the admission committee will consider the following factors related to GUJCET 2020:

    To take part in GUJCET 2020 Counselling process, candidates have to fill the application form of GUJCET 2020 counseling correctly and submit all required documents in the help centers.

    • GUJCET Counselling begins in June every year.
    • Candidates will be nominated on the basis of the merit rank.
    • After GUJCET 2020 Counselling, candidates have to pay the tuition fee and will be allocated seats as per the GUJCET 2020 Seat Allotment List.
    • JEE Mains qualified students can also take part in GUJCET 2020 Counselling.
    • Many institutes offer admission to the candidates on the basis JEE Mains score.
