Plantaе, Animalia, and Virusеs are distinct biological categories that rеprеsеnt different groups of organisms. 

  • The kingdom is subdivided into smaller groups known as phyla and is the second highest taxonomic rank, slightly behind the domain. 
  • Additional divisions of this kingdom include Animalia, Plantae, Fungi, Protista, and Monera. 
  • R.H. Whittaker divided the creatures into five kingdoms based on the cell structure, manner, source of sustenance, and body composition. 
  • The largest of the five kingdoms, Kingdom Animalia, contains all the animals.
  •  All of the plants on Earth are included in the Kingdom Plantae.

The Empire Animalia is a class of multicellular, heterotrophic, eukaryotic organisms. They can all move around independently, and the majority of them can eat other things to stay alive.Based on their general traits and body form, animals are classified into many phyla.

  • Kingdom Animalia is a vast and varied domain of beings, all of which are related to one another due to a common ancestor. 
  • The multicellular organisms that make up this kingdom are eukaryotic, which implies that each of its cells has a nucleus. 
  • Invertebrates and vertebrates are the two categories used to categorise animals.
  • Animals without a backbone are known as invertebrates, whereas those with a backbone are known as vertebrates.
  • Invertebrate creatures are the most prevalent in the world. They consist of things like worms, spiders, and insects. 
  • Since they are essential to the environment, invertebrates are significant. 
  • For instance, insects play a key role in pollination, and spiders aid in pest population management.

Kingdom Plantae

The Domain Eukarya contains the kingdom Plantae. All plants, both vascular and nonvascular, belong to this kingdom. Unlike nonvascular plants, vascular plants contain tissue that distributes water and other nutrients throughout the entire plant.

  • All plants belong to the enormous and diverse collection of organisms known as the Kingdom Plantae. 
  • The ecosystem cannot exist without plants, and they are an essential component of the food chain on Earth.
  • Plants are found throughout the world because they have evolved to a wide range of settings. 
  • They come in a range of colours and different sizes and shapes.
  • From the smallest mosses to the highest trees, plants can be simple or complicated.
  • Plants can photosynthesize, which they do to turn sunlight into energy. Plants require this energy to grow and reproduce as well as to create food.

A variety of animals eat the food that plants produce, making them a crucial link in the food chain. In addition to using plants for food and medicine, humans also use them for other things. Plants are an essential component of the ecosystem and are crucial to preserving the ecological balance.

Viruses

Some creatures were still unable to be classified according to the five kingdoms, even after they were. Viruses, viroids, and prions were among them. Since viruses are essentially neither live nor dead, they could not be classified under any of the kingdoms.

  • The genetic material, or nucleic acid (DNA or RNA), that makes up viruses is encased in a protein capsule. 
  • The machinery of the host is used by viruses to replicate and create many copies of themselves while they are hiding out on other living things. 
  • Consequently, more viruses will be produced, which will propagate the infection.
  • Viruses are often smaller than bacteria. The tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) was the first virus to be found. 
  • The tobacco plant becomes infected. Viroids are smaller than viruses and do not have a protein coating, unlike viruses. 
  • So they are RNA that is free to live.Infectious proteins are called prions. 

They have a history of bringing on neurodegenerative illnesses. Prions are proteins that have been improperly folded and can spread to the healthy version of the same protein. CJD is a type of disease brought on by prions in humans and is one example of this group of diseases.
