TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2019

TS EAMCET Eligibility states details about the nationality, age, academic qualifications, stream-wise standards for TS EAMCET 2019. These standards are set by the conducting body i.e. JNTU Hyderabad. All the programs have different set standards. 

Before filling the TS EAMCET Application Formcandidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria defined by the conducting body. The registration window becomes functional in March 2019. The form can be filled via online mode only at eamcet.tsche.ac.in.

TS EAMCET General Eligibility

A common criterion for all the programs for Common Entrance Test (EAMCET 2019) Telangana is as follows:

On the basis of Nationality 

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • Person of India Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Card Holders are also eligible to apply.

On the basis of Domicile

  • Candidates should belong to the state of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
  • They should prove or satisfy the local / non– local status requirements as laid down in the Telangana / Andhra Pradesh by regulations of Admission. They should have the certificates as proof during the document verification as well as at the time of TS EAMCET Counselling. The documents are: Certificates from Class 8th till Intermediate/ 10+2 certificates.

On the basis of Age

  • There is no Upper Age Limit for any of the courses.
  • One must have completed at least 17 years of age at the time of admissions.

Q. What is the meaning of Local Area in EAMCET?
A. Local area in respect of Andhra University (AU area) includes Nagarjuna University area. In respect of Sri Venkateswara University (SVU area), it includes Sri Krishnadevaraya University area. In respect of Osmania University (OU area), it includes Kakatiya University area.
Q. What is the meaning of Local and Non-Local Status in EAMCET?
A. Candidate is considered as a local candidate in relation to a local area (AU/ SUV/OU) if he/ she has studied in an Educational Institution or Educational Institutions in such local area for a period of not less than four consecutive academic years.
A candidate is not regarded as local candidate if he/ she belongs to PIO/ OCI category.

TS EAMCET Stream-wise Eligibility

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad or JNTUH has segregated eligibility standards as per courses offered. Listed below is the criterion for the exam as per the program opted:

For Engg., Bio- Tech., B.Tech (Dairy Tech.), B.Tech (Ag. Engg.), B. Pharmacy, B.Tech (Food Sc. and Tech.) /B.Sc. (Commercial Agri. & Business Mgt.)

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates passed or appeared in 10+2 exam or any other exam recognized as equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology as optional subject from any recognized board of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh along with bridge course or courses conducted by Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana/Andhra Pradesh for candidates enrolled during 2000-2002. Or
  • Candidates must have passed or appeared in final year of a diploma in engineering from any recognized board of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have cleared the qualifying exam with a minimum of 45% (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).
  • For B.Tech (Dairy Technology/Agri. Engg./FST) and B.Sc. (CA & BM), candidates must be17 years of age or more as or on December 31, 2019
  • The upper limit for admission to courses mentioned in the previous point is 22 years for general candidates and 25 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes as or on December 31, 2019.

For B.Sc. (Ag.) / B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.F.Sc. and for remaining 50% seats in B.Tech. (FST) / B.Sc. (CA & BM)

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed or appeared for final year of 10+2 or any examination recognized as equivalent by Board of intermediate education, Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh with any two /three of the subjects indicated against each course mentioned below.

  • Candidates seeking admission to the above courses should appear for Biology, Physics and Chemistry in TS EAMCET 2019, irrespective of subjects chosen by them in qualifying exam.
  • Candidates must be at least of 17 years of age as or on December 31, 2019, and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates as on December 31, 2019.

For BAMS/BHMS/BNYS courses under TS EAMCET 2019

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have successfully cleared or appeared in 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Botany/Zoology which also includes a practical test in each subject.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have scored 50% (40% for reserved category) or higher in the qualifying exam.

For B.Pharmacy Course (Remaining 50% of the seats)

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry and Zoology/Botany, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates should obtain 45% marks or more (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

For Pharma-D Course (50% seats for M.P.C and 50% seats for Bi.P.C candidates)

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed or appeared for 10+2 examination or equivalent from any recognized board in Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
  • Candidates must have passed or appeared in final year of the Diploma examination or equivalent in Pharmacy course from any recognized of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination.

TS EAMCET Reservation

TS EAMCET 2019 provides relaxation against reserved seats for specific categories, women, physically handicapped and children of Army personnel. Detailed relaxation as per category is mentioned below.
