What is TS EAMCET 2026?

TS EAMCET stands for Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test. Since 2024, the exam is also officially named TG EAPCET — Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test. It is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).

TS EAMCET 2026 is the primary gateway to undergraduate admissions in Telangana across two broad streams:

• You must be an Indian citizen, or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholder.

Educational Qualification — Engineering Stream (MPC)

Understand the Pattern and Set Priorities First

• Mathematics carries 80 of the 160 marks in the Engineering paper — exactly half. Plan at least 50% of your preparation time on Mathematics from the start.
• There is no negative marking, so attempt every single question on the day of the exam. A wrong guess carries no penalty — leaving a question blank is always the wrong choice.
• The exam is held in CBT mode. Practice on a computer or laptop regularly so you are comfortable with the interface, the question navigation, and the marking system on exam day.

Mathematics

• Coordinate Geometry (Circles, Parabola, Ellipse, Hyperbola, Straight Lines) and Calculus (Differentiation, Integration, Differential Equations) together carry the highest number of questions. Master these two areas before anything else.
• Solve at least 30 Mathematics problems per day from your weakest topics. Speed matters — 3 hours for 160 questions means roughly 67 seconds per question on average, but Math problems often need more time, so build your problem-solving speed actively.

Physics
