Remarks

All that I said before is positive. But the negativity I found is that the College is highly secured.I didn't mean that security is a negativity but I feel it is more than required.Whenever someone out of the College without bearing a College id card is in need of a visit to College, they are not allowed inside.Even the regular students without id card is not allowed inside the College.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is a three year course involving 6 semesters. The syllabus focuses on the core of the subject as it is an honours degree. And you specialize in a paper of your choice in the last two semesters. The exams are conducted at the end of each sem.In the arts section it is quite a big task to score a good CGPA.

Placement Experience

3.5

I don't know much about the internship cells as I'm a first year student. But there are various internship cells working in the College.I think the placement and internships are fetched by students themselves as the College doesn't provide any placement directly. But if you study in Hindu College, it's a brand name for you and you get prioritized to your future opportunities.

College Events

4.5

Mecca, the annual fest of Hindu College is a grand festival with a high budget. It usually takes place in the March of the year.It brings stage shows of celebrities and chance for all the students to enjoy to the maximum, there are all sorts of enjoyment ranging from competitions to huge bands and there are all sorts off department fest conducted by the departments which includes various agendas and fun activities likes treasure hunt, quiz. They are the ride of enjoyment to maximum.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible as it is 17500/ year. But as this is a central government run College,I think it is a bit high cost. This is one of the most expensive public Colleges in India. However the exposure it gives is worth it.But the hostel is very expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know about that much as I haven't availed any.But as far as i know there are many such opportunities and also there is a so called placement cell which inturn is a society that allows you to explore the world of placement, opportunities and also gives us a chance to be part of major companies and they do provide scholarships.

Campus Life

3

There are Science labs for Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, etc And College provides a very good environment for the students to flourish in their extra curricular activities. There several societies in the College which is famous in the whole university and also outside Delhi. They attend programmes all over India. They contribute more towards their talent than their core course.

Hostel Facilities

3

I didn't opt for a hostel. But the hostel provides best facilities, though expensive. The girls hostel provide much good facilities as it is a new building. It is quite expensive compared to the boys hostel because it is run by a private party. The annual fee of girls hostel ranges upto 1,25000 per year including the meals and every facilities. But the boys hostel is an old building and it asks for a payment of an average of 60000 per year.

Alumni/Alumna

The College is an anti ragging area.So there's no worry about a senior junior clash. Moreover the seniors are so helpful and caring. They will take care of our every needs when we are new to the College. They organize an orientation programme and a freshers party to assimilate with the new atmosphere in the College.

Faculty

4

It's avery nice faculty and environment in our College.Teachers are polite and friendly. They help us in our curriculum a lot.And they themselves are our roll models. Most of the faculties here are PhD scholars and are eell versed in their subject.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting
