Course Curriculum Overview

4

About the course curriculum it depends on college to college and course to course that what all benefits of which course the college is providing the students but the study material and syllabus is same for a particular course for all colleges under delhi university. Talking about the campus placements, it vary from college to college that big MNCs will come to recruit you or not. It really depends upon your college and a little on your course because if you are a student of Srcc and you are pursuing bcom hons from that college and there is a other student from any other college pursuing the same course then every university student knows who will get campus placements first because in terms of placements mostly north campus colleges get it.

Placement Experience

4

Placement of my college for my course is 7 on 10 but for some courses it is really good like for bcom and mathematics hons it's like 9.5 on 10. And companies also visit for providing interships some interships and stipend based and some are research and certificate based.

College Events

4.5

The college organises different fests but the most important and most crowded fests in delhi university are cultural college fests where every year a lot of students from delhi university come because of the ambience of fests. As in P.G.D.A. V COLLEGE different artist come every year. till the time i have been in college from 2018 in first year milind gaba came and in second year jeveshu alhuwalia and in third year zaeden from lost stories came. cultural college fest is of 3 days where for the first day it is a performance based day and for second day is the dj night and third day star night and it vary from year to year but pattern is same. Talking about the technical fest there are very limited college which organise technical fest and my college is not one of them. Different societies have there own fest like Dance society fest, drama fest, music fest etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

DELHI UNIVERSITY college provide good education in very cheap fee for all the courses. In my college Fee for My course B.a prog is around 11000- 13000 which increases every year. but for some colleges it is about 6000 to 8000 the fee also depend from college to college and course to course.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the DELHI UNIVERSITY offers scholarships for the students from the category of Sc and St in which the students who are not capable to pay there fee can get this opportunity. In which they will get the entire fee of there course payed to college of all years back after third year.

Campus Life

4.5

There is so such gender ratio in my college the difference between boys and girl is very very less or say no. There are workshops for different courses which happen every year before each semester. There is no discrimination on the basis of caste, colour or religion and if there is any rare there is a special cell of teacher and staff as well as of students where it can be reported and resolved if any such case happens. My college is really good in terms of sports and debates. It happens time to time that our college organises sports days and debates on different topics. My college campus is really good.

Hostel Facilities

4

No there are no facilities for hostel in my college. As i am a residential of delhi university so there was no need for me to renting a pg near college but for some students coming from outside delhi take pg's in sharing which cost them around 6000 to 10000 per head for minimum 2 and maximum 4 people including water electricity and it varies from location to location and living space. Nowadays there are many pgs available for students near college it is easy to get a pg for 6000 per head in sharing in a normal flat.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the college alumni is really helpful as well as the seniors. in time of admissions also there are always help desks for admissions process provided by seniors and alumni students.

Admission

The admission process for most of the delhi university college is by merit list of different courses but for some courses Example - BMS, JOURNALISM, etc. there is a entrance based exam conducted by delhi university and entrance based exam is for very limited courses and for very limited seats. As in my college there is no course in which a student can get admission by entrance exam. I choose B.a ( prog) because by percentage was too less to get admission in other course like b.com prog or hons so i choose b.a as my course and Economics as my core subject. For getting admission under merit list each year delhi university uploads cut offs for different colleges as well as for different colleges under different caste categories on their official site du.ac.in by which students can check in ehich college they can get admissions and under which course. If you are above the given cut offs of your course and your choice college you can directly go to that college in the span of limited days as stated by delhi university and carry the documents required and get admission.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of my college is really good teachers are really helpful and all the staff. Teachers also provide help to students after college hours if needed and also help them with notes and important questions. Our college staff keeps us noted with important information about college via college notice board and emails.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being brutally honest I don't think that the course contributes a lot to our preparation for the real world but it teaches us very new things which I like. The course might not be very helpful in our real life preparation or the preparation for the real world but at the same time it enhances our knowledge and teachers as about various new things so I am satisfied with my course and whatever the curriculum includes I like it

In term of relevance I'll say that there are many topics which should not be taught as they are way too old and contradicting in modern times. New tumes problems and solutions should be taught in replace focusing on present.

Placement Experience:

Final year students are generally placed with an average package of 7-8 lakhs for management programs. Companies including the big 4 like EY, KPMG, Deloitte and other reputed companies have visited and many offers have been made. Around 60% of the students get placed in management branch. After getting the degree, I am also planning to appear in the placement opportunities.
