Remarks

College management is very good that I have thought about our college and all are very friendly.I liked the college infrastructure and my frnds also joined in this college so I joined and I liked the most featured things that have clubs and so on very much interesting about the college.Very good college and I liked this soo much.I will complete my degree in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am okay with the stream I have chosen, There are 4 departments in college: CSE, MECH, ECE, EEE. Each department has its event every year.as it is a computer branch we will be having separately labs.

Placement Experience

4.5

If you are eligible for placement, you will definitely get placement from our college. The salary is not astounding but as a beginner it is good. I am not passed out yet but already placed in TCS as assistant system engineer.

College Events

There are separate labs for each department. There are two sports days in the college. One is for the college and other is for the university. Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Athletics are the main events of these sports days. There are several occasions where dance events are there.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for college is as follows (per year): Tuition fee: 90200 College fee: 13500 Hostel fee: 79000 This is one of the most reasonable fee structured college in Bangalore and if you are from a middle class family, it is a good college for you

Fees and Financial Aid

We had government EPASS scholarship,OBC and SC/ST had many more scholarship, for some scholarships we need write entrance test to avail it,i have not availed any scholarship,so dont have more details about it.

Campus Life

Computer science course ia a best course, but getting placements and jobs in computer science engineering is very difficult as many of the students join this course, now we have updated syllabus of computer science, and it is awesome. In each semester we have 2 labs for practical learning.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I used to reside in hostel for first three years. The accommodation is very good and you can get habituated of it. If you are a food lover, hostel is good for you,it is a very good hostel in the campus itself.

Alumni/Alumna

All the senior students are very polite and carm with all the students and they are helping the junior to lead their life in a good way.and they are very supportive, and very encouraging.they help us out in every way.

Admission

Once my cousin took me to this college then I had a interview, and they explained each and everything about college and course, and one of the faculty helped me to seek admission in this college

Faculty

4.5

The faculties in the college are friendly and helpful. They take seminar and activities regularly in each semester and the classes are taking in full throttle. They also guide you for projects and paper presentations.

And also the campus provide all facilities and make helps to sports and ration is almost equal of boys and girls

Dislikes

Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Likes

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.

Good college for every students

Actually, I was having some idea about electronic communication engineering and I got a seat also in that particular domain and the course is interesting also and the college will provide you with a special mentor who guides you and leads you further without any problems that are faced by you and you can share whatever problems you are facing and all the faculties are highly graduated and some teachers are done Ph.D. the teaching methods are excellent. If we see at the fee structure the fee is very high only but the government is affording the scholarship for every student the students should take care of it and should apply to get it to make use of it sometimes the college provides internships and extra activities that should be done. The admission process was so smooth and there was no entrance exam because I'm already with kcet ranking and came through the kea government exam there will be a group of guides who guide the students on what to do and how to do it....Read More
