Disciplined management and values believer. Good campus infrastructure with world class library and temple and swimming pool and gymnasium etc., facilities for female staff and students and strict rules for anti ragging etc.
Entrance Preview
The admission process was on merit basis, based on 10+2 PCM %, minimum % required in PCM was 75% to get admission in Electronics & Communication branch and then merit list with capitation fee. However the college was affiliated by Mangalore University, Mangalore.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was very well designed to get knowledge on other branches and the latest technologies during 1989-1993 time. The course syllabus was very designed and printed in a booklet for entire 4 years and given to the students so that they prepare and plan their study well in advance.
Internships Opportunities
We did not require for any internship during that time.However we were required to undergo a industrial tour to visit companies relevant to our branch and then prepare and submit a report to the faculty.
Placement Experience
The placement was not that good during 1993 time frame and not much companies used to come since IT was not in boom and not known to all.However L&T, ABB, Crompton Greaves, Siemens etc. kind of companies used to come for campus recruit.
College Events
Annual functions/rock shows/fair celebrations, open air movie theatre, cricket matches etc. were part of our events in the campus. All the students used to participate in the annual functions like dance, stand up comedy and singing etc. We used to have inter college and inter branch competitions in sports too.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee was really expensive as compared to other colleges during that time period. It was difficult for any average family to get their kids to get educated from such expensive college.
Fees and Financial Aid
No loans facility that I am aware of. I had not availed any loans during my studies in MIT Manipal. This college was not of that standard that one would be getting loan from the college.
Campus Life
Campus life was good and motivated all the time to remain focussed on the studies with healthier competition. Gender ration was male/female as 80/20%. Annual functions/rock shows/fair celebrations, open air movie theatre, cricket matches etc. were common in the campus.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities were very good for male and female students and very well structured from architecture perspective as well. They had hostel facilities for female students were away from that of male students and towards faculty staff houses and temple from the security perspective.
Alumni/Alumna
All our batch mates are still connected using social networking sites and meet at least in a year at a central place and hang out together with families sometimes during summer vacations of our children.
Exam Structure
We used to monthly tests and practical tests as well. It was not chilled out kind of time and neither hectic sort of but I would say students used to be enough busy if they are targeting to score good marks.
Faculty
The faculties were very well qualified from reputed institutes and more focussed on the content delivery and made sure that their students remain focus on their studies.
