Remarks

I would say college is good taking its hierarchy of 100 years. College management should be maintain proper communication with students.

Entrance Preview

I took PGCET entrance examination. I scored around 52 (exactly i dont remember). I opted because this was one of the very few college's for my branch of engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum was good, it was bit lenghty time wise. I ended up finishing 3 months later than scheduled time of finishing. I had electives such as Hazardous waste management, remote sensing and Geo Information Systems, disaster management.

Internships Opportunities

Frankly speaking we did not attend any placement things and all. Since we were studying masters there was less scope for placements in this college. We didnt even get/apply for any internship programs. So frankly speaking i dont know about the stipend.

Placement Experience

4.5

Since the scope for the placements for us was very less, companies used to prefer bachelor of engineering students. Several companies came to our college such as IBM, TCS etc. They offered a package of 3-3.5LPA. 2.5-3 LPA etc.

College Events

4.5

Several events were celebrated when i was studying. One of the famous was our college festival "CIVISTA". We used to have technical events based on civil engineering stream (my branch). Several sports are played and prizes are distributed at the end of 3 day festival.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As i said we used to pay different academic and exam fess, both were feasible but not that expensive at all compared to other college's. I had to finish my master's in a feasible way.

Fees and Financial Aid

Seriously there were very less scholarship facilities available to us. one of this was GATE scholarship. Loan was offered to students.

Campus Life

3.5

College life was pretty good. We used to hang out a lot. Participated in extracurricular activities such as quiz, debates. They were regularly conducted in college. Labs facilities were good. Gender ratio was almost equal so there were no such problems. Economic status was bit low. Should upgrade to new technologies in labs.

Hostel Facilities

4

Frankly speaking i would rate hostel facilities a little bad since there was very less maintenance may be because they used to take less fess for hostel. Mess food was good. its a sharing hostel, 2 to 3 guys per room.proper cleanliness must be maintained. Rental was around 1500 rupess for hostel and same for mess.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is very important in interaction between juniors and seniors. This will help a lot to students as they can guide to juniors. I got a lot of information from my seniors while i was studying.

Exam Structure

As i said time is a very flexible in this college. We had internals every 35 to 40 days and exams were conducted twice in a year. Exam structure was very good infact. We also used to pay different exam fees apart from academic fees. We had hectic days as well as chilled days also.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty were bit less compared to other college's. We had only three professor's but with proper knowledge of the subjects, so we did not face any problem with the subjects. All three were good in there own field.

Placement Experience:

IIIT Banglore is well-known for its placement opportunities. The college not only has high educational standards but also offers competitive placement packages. Every year, the college retains a 100% placement record, with the highest selection package reaching up to 46 LPA and the median wage package being around 19 LPA, which are very good packages in contrast to many engineering colleges of such stature. Members of the college placement panel are also highly professional and have extensive industrial experience.

The management is good and is always responsive to the student needs. A lot of the things in the college is student run so there is less interaction of ordinary students with the management. Every thing is done through the SAC (Students Activity Committee).
