Remarks

I wanted a campus life. And exposure to clinics since I was in a medical field we need more experience working with patients and by far I've cross-checked with my friends who are nor in manipal and asked them about their exposure to clinics and I've learnt that manipal really does a good job here, so it was the main reason to choose manipal. Plus it is safer as compared to a lot of colleges in india especially for girls.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are really qualified and they give us the best suited opportunities in clinics to prove ourselves. Academics is very apt but sometimes there are some hurdles. Only complain is that there is really a lot to cope up with in a very limited time but I think every student faces that.

Placement Experience

4

Since there are so many branches of manipal we are tied up with a lot of hospitals all around the world, so if you hold a good gpa and a required number of extra curricular activities then you are set to go. The name and fame of this university adds an extra advantage in getting a job.

College Events

5

Manipal holds record for the maximum number of extracurricular activities held. And the campus is vast and everything you need is actually located in a square kilometre around you. We have many fund raising events every year.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.

The MBBS comprises 19 Subjects which is vast. Knowing so many things make you not only knowledgeable but also you have very important role in society. This course is filled with practical knowledge which are compulsory to get. This gives you skills which only a few people can have. So you already stand in society. The newer changes that has been made by NMC has reduced the time for studies. It was less exhausting before. Exams are properly placed and arranged . They are well divided into theories, practicals, internal examinations, certification for skills, etc. Last year has more papers now.
