Remarks

My aim was not at all to take admission in pgdav college Sanskrit Hons. It is what my destiny wants me to opt for or do. I scored 69 per in my 12 th which is not so good to take admission in du to opt for any commerce field subject, so I go for Sanskrit Hons. But as a student of this college, I truly say every college is a good college but it depends on students only how they can portrait it. The teachers of my department were so so good they are not even taught the syllabus but also the meaning of life. I can not tell much about the college as I never get the chance to study or go to college because of the pandemic corona. Hope I get a chance much excited. The admission procedure of mine takes place online on 18/10/20 .by making the du portal to matching out percentage with the cutoff for the subject i want and finishing up with evaluation and verifying documents to submitting the college fees.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

My aim was only to take admission in du, and my percentage only goes with this course so I opt this course. Although I feel so good to be a part of Sanskrit Hons as this subj gives u intense knowledge about life, our culture, history, maths, bio, and everything. I can proudly say I am opting for Sanskrit Hons. The faculty of my college is so good only because of them I am able to understand the real things the meaning of this subject. The way they teach is so wonderful as they indulge the whole class in the discussion. But some teachers also go for kitabi (bookish) language which makes class quite boring. The student ratio of our class is 50:00. The teachers were no doubt very well qualified and know the subject thoroughly. Exams were held twice in a year total we have 6 sem. I can't mention the correct month as because of pandemics everything is going wrong not on the correct timing.

Placement Experience

3

I am a first-year student and really dont know about the placements of our college and I was not even told by our college about it. No knowledge was given or provided to us regarding this. I could even rate this as I have to give my loyal answer. I am providing or giving you some details regarding placement just by asking one of my seniors. The average placement rate is about 85% to 90%. The organizations like Ugly studio, aegis BPO, Arihant silver house, Bhatia brothers, Delhi high Court, amazon, ht media, delhas corporate Pvt ltd. Offers jobs to students

Fees and Financial Aid

The total cost I pay for my course is 13,940. Our college also offers you a scholarship as it runs different programs. Scholarship for University of Delhi students. Which will provide scholarships to Delhi students only. National scholarship: provide scholarship to all the students.E-district Delhi scholarship university scholarship.centrally sector schemes centrally sponsored scheme s (CSS). Commonwealth masters scholarship, north-south campus endowment scholarship and do not know much about jobs on campus as I never get a chance to go college due to pandemic all things go on online

Campus Life

3.5

So sad that we can't even enjoy the fest due to pandemics. And we never get a chance to enjoy the fest season of du. The annual fest of pgdav college is AAGHAZ. Which is conducted in the fest season of du which is Dec to Feb. Another is FALAK the annual cultural fest of our college. As I never went to our college so I don't know about the library, amenities n classrooms and much about sports and extracurricular activities but I heard much about the NCC of our college. Which is so good and also sports team. I went to my college once for NCC entrance it was so so hard to pass. Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
