Remarks

I enrolled in 2018. Admission was based on merit. The best four of my 12th standard marks are considered for admission. Since I was a science student in 12th and changed into the arts stream for graduation there was a deduction of 2.5% from my best percentage. Since the cutoff for economics is relatively high for economics in DU Colleges and since I had a deduction of 2.5% I could avail admission through the OBC quota.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because it's one of the prestigious courses at Delhi University. Even though the course is tough to study the campus placements for this course is also high. Well qualified faculty is the main attraction. Teachers have in depth knowledge and experience in the subject and are always ready to help the students. Teaching method was not so progressive when classes were offline. The exams are conducted timely at scheduled dates and it doesn't seem so easy to pass if you didn't study anything. Otherwise it's easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship cell is working efficiently in college. They conduct internship fair annually in which students get chance to apply for internships in companies like Indian Express, The hindu, Decathlon etc. Other internship opportunities are provided throughout the year.. Students are getting jobs like content writer, business developer, financial analyst. Students get work experience and industrial exposure by doing internships

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for the campus placements from the 5th sem onwards. Companies like Deloitte, Byjus, United Airlines, Tresvista, Decathlon, Zupee.. visit the college for placements and offered many students with highly paid jobs. The highest CTC is about 26 lakh per annum and the average CTC is 7 lakhs per annum. Most of the students who sit for placements are getting placed. I'm planning to do masters after getting the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fee is really affordable. We're getting good quality education and opportunities in a nominal amount. College is not charging any extra fee even for the exams. We're supposed to pay only one fee annually. The fee has hiked a bit within the three years I studied there. But it's not too much. Full fee refund and financial assistance are provided to eligible students by the college. There is a placement cell working efficiently for providing job opportunities to students. Many students are offered jobs by multinational companies and other eminent companies like byjus, Deloitte etc.

Campus Life

4.5

CONFLUENCE is the annual fest of Hansraj college. It's conducted with the presence of celebrities, sunburn etc. Various department fests and society fests are also conducted along with it. Various fests and activities are conducted in college by different societies throughout the year. College has a well equipped library with all amenities. All the books and journals are available in the library. Extra curricular activities are encouraged very well in the college. Music society, Dramatic society, Dance societies, fine arts society, quizzing society are few among the societies working in college for ECA. College supports sports activities by conducting inter collegiate tournaments in football, cricket, archery, Societies like marketing society, entrepreneurial cell, finance and investment cell,.. are also working in college

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
