Amity University a great place for B.Tech Computer Science

Their basic criteria were to score certain marks in JEE. I scored 74 marks in my JEE exam and so I qualified my first round. It was on the basis of both the JEE marks and the 12th marks. The minimum marks for applying to BTech Computer science was 55 marks in Class 12th from a recognized Board. After that, the second round for admission was an interview process. The questions that were asked in the interview were basic introduction and questions related to academics and as I was from science stream they even asked me Science related questions. The last question that was asked was "Why do you want to apply to Amity University." On counselling day they discussed placements and opportunities provided by the University. There was a presentation about the college giving insights into the campus, campus life, course, opportunities, and further future prospects.

The overall course curriculum is very good. It was one of the best courses provided by Amity University. It provides top-class faculties. The faculty members were very well educated. All permanent faculty are expected to do a Ph.D. and have certain experience as a teacher. The faculty uses whiteboards or smartboards as per the requirement and students' convenience and comfort. These facilities even make a lot of effort in reviewing each answer sheet twice by 2-3 teachers, so that the students get the right marks. Faculty to student ratio is really very good. As per the students enrolled each year, Amity maintains the faculty-student ratio by hiring the right number of facilities on the campus. It keeps a check on this ratio. If there arises a need for a teacher, they recruit the perfect candidate immediately. There is a curriculum and a schedule that is followed in Amity where the exams are held on time. Each student has its own student portal where attendance can be seen each day.

Internships are also seen by Amity Placement Cell. It provides wonderful internship opportunities in the field of software development, IT sector, Application development, Marketing and Sales, Business Development, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Customer Care Executive. Stipend ranges from 2000 to 25000 per month depending on the profile offered and the company. Students are given internships based on how they have performed in their Resume and interviews. Many times companies even take Case Studies, Group discussions, Assignments, etc to evaluate a student's skills.

For B.Tech CS, students are eligible for campus placements for 5 semesters. Amity claims 100% placements. There is a Placement Cell that researches well to get the best placements on Campus. 80% of students get placement in Amity University. The placement process is done in a very official and well-maintained manner. Companies that come on the campus are Tata, Wipro, Infosys, Google, Egon Zehnder, De Shaw, KPMG, Aditya Birla Group, TCS, Amazon, Deloitte, HCL, Lenovo, etc depending on the course and the eligibility criteria. The highest package offered is 30 lacs and the average package offered is somewhat 8-10 lacs. A software engineer is a profile that the companies come for. I want to get settled as a software engineer. I wish to work in the IT sector and gradually explore more opportunities. I am even looking for College for MTech.

For studying BTech Computer Science in Amity a student approximately spends 16-17+ lacs. The breakup of the expenses - Academic fees - 3-3.5 lacs each year. Living Expenses expenses - 1-1.5 lacs. Food expenses although vary but can be approximately 10-15 thousand per month. The scholarship is provided to a lot of students. All those who score 90+ percentage in their 12th standard get a 100% scholarship. The scholarship can vary from 30-100%. This scholarship needs to be renewed each semester. The students continue to get 100% scholarship only if they get above 9 CGPA in the semester. Even students who perform well in sports get scholarships like those who have played nationals in any sport can get a 50% scholarship. There is 100% placement at Amity University. For BTech, 80% of students get placed in reputed companies. Package ranges from 4 lacs to 25lacs for BTech CS. Jobs range from a software engineer, application engineer, IT application designer specialist, software developer, app developer.

Amity University is one of the best in terms of campus life. All students living in the hostel can spend time on their hostel lawns till 10 pm. There is Gym, Auditorium, Market, Dominos, Subway, CCD, Dosa Plaza, Arcadia, ATM, and other food-related stalls. Arcadia is a place specially designed for fun where you can play bowling, PS3, snooker, and other games. The gym is called Persona Fit and it is a proper gym with new equipment. It is very well maintained. Both Sports and Cultural fests are held in the first and second-semester resp. There are intra Amity competitions held in Sports fest. Famous actors and singers are invited to the cultural fest. Fully air-conditioned, comfortable desks and chairs, smart board, projectors are amenities in classrooms. Almost all sport are played and encourage here. Amity University organizes Inter University North Zone for several Sports. There is a proper arena and ground for all sports. Dance, singers, debate, poetry, MUN, art, robotics club are there.
