Remarks

One of the oldest public university of odisha. The state university of odisha and most reputed one also. Located in capital city of Odisha, bhubaneswar. Has a good alumni record. Good faculties. Variety of courses are offered all are dynamic in nature.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is dynamic and on demand. All faculties are highly educated with their phds and post-docs from top notch institutes of india(IITs/IISC) and from abroad also. Exams are conducted timely and the same goes for result publishing.

The university has tie ups with different research centers across india. Students acn opt for internship there.

MBA guys and tech guys get average jobs from campus. Otherwise most students go for off-campus jobs and a good chuck of students prefer higher studies every year. Mostly student ended up in finance, banking, bereaucracy jobs after graduation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Course cost is very minimal, financial assistance and scholarships are readily available to finanacially weak students. To name a few prerana, medhabruti, central sector, ugc etc. Student go for jobs in all different sectors possible after graduating.

Campus Life

Campus life is prety average quality. Booksa and journals are available for the students in the library, which is very big, well maintained in all aspects. Sports and extra curricular are not that much great here. Clubs are missing.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are not properly maintained. Meal facility is there but food of only few hosels are good. Registration for hostel starts few days after admission only. Till then students ghave to manage themselves. Rooms on rent are easily available next to campus. But mostly everybody got rooms in hostel timely.

A journey that will help you learn a lot.

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The campus life after college hours is quite engaging and helps us develop as a person.
Extra curricular activities are into multiple options.
Faculties are good in nature,they teach us like a friend.

Dislikes

Bad condition of the washrooms ,not cleaned.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum includes the real projects which help learn more practically. It would had been better to have more site and industrial visits and export sessions to learn better.The exams are not so difficulty to score.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

there are smart class rooms and good faculty for my course and various extracurricular activities are available for students
you can compete many state and national level competitions such as essay writings, creative writings, debate, poster making, etc.
the management of the university is really commendable. various departments and cells have been established to help students in their academic life such as; placement cells, incubation and innovation centers for young entrepreneurs

Dislikes

students who are engaged in political activities often exercise their dominance over other students
sanitation could be better with the mutual efforts of both the students and the college management
though is a placement cell present, i haven't seen many numbers of students getting employed through the university placement cell

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

my university is one of the oldest and most prestigious university of our state. only the best students get admission on merit basis to this university. faculties here are really insightful and knowledgeable. they have famous publications and authors of some of the best books of the discipline. i had applied for revenshaw university too and i choose utkal university because course curriculum here is better than other universities and they provide a large number of opportunities to their students. i haven't gotten rejected from any universities that i had applied for but i chose this one cause it is one of the most prestigious universities if our state and they provide great academic curriculum for the growth of the students. as for the admission process in MA degree, you have to clear an eligibility test called CPET conducted by the education department of odisha. and students who usually rank 1 to 100 have thr greater chances of getting admitted to this university....Read More
