Lucknow University- At a Glance.

I applied for National PG College, Cristian College, and Shia PG College besides Lucknow University, but since Lucknow university was the best option I had, so I took admission to the University of Lucknow. I didn't avail any quota. The minimum criteria to get enrolled with Lucknow University is one has at least pass the 12th examination from any recognized board. Counseling day was okay as there was a very easy and sequenced process of Counseling.

The faculty was very decent. And well behavioral culture and cooperation with students were on the top level. There were at least 3 teachers on every 50 students. Many of the Faculty were passed out from IIT's. Exams were always held on time and on a regular basis

University provides few chances for internships to students. Infosys and Bajaj like big companies have visited Lucknow University and provided opportunities to us. Once we got a project of counting 5he outside visitors, those who visited Lucknow from the train, in our statistics and data analysis program. We made a chart of collected data with their health scenario and interests. It was a very interesting task.

From the 5th semester students may get a placement. Most of the placement in Lucknow university was received by computer science students and by B. Tech graduates. Almost more than 50 % of students will get a placement. The highest package got by one of our fellows was rs 48 lakhs per annum. The average package is about Rs 8 lakh per annum. I am doing post-graduation and will become a professor.

I paid approximately rs27000 for a 3-year course in B.Sc mathematics. If one includes hostel fees and mess fees for the whole course, one should be charged approximately rs250000 for 3-year course duration. I had gotten 2 scholarships.

The annual fest of Lucknow university, held in December - January month. There were two libraries on campus with so many useful books collections. The atmosphere of the classroom was fantastic. We did go to slum areas to educate poor children for free and to help the needy as much as we could. We did play so many games like cricket, football, hockey, basketball, chess, etc.

You will be asked at the time of counseling that if you want a hostel or not, if you want, say yes, and after a few days of counseling and fee submission process, a select list of hostel occupants will publish. If you are in, go to the bank submit your hostel fees and mess fees, and get your room. That's it. If you want a room or pg instead of a hostel, you can take rooms on rent in babuganj, IT chauraha, nishatfanj, new Hyderabad, Kapoorthala, Aliganj, and in Triveni Nagar. There are so many rooms available for bays as well as for girls at nominal prices.
