Remarks

Cultural environment, good placement in CSE, large campus, health and hygiene maintained. Good accommodation. Food is not that good but still better than many college mess. Academics can be very hectice sometimes. I read from quora.com about the college. I was about to go Nagpur NIT but I got into this. The campus is really beautiful, totally pollution free and resourceful. Above all placement is too good. Large MNCs come and offer very good packages.Well college curriculum is not gonna help in your placement but that is an open secret.

Course is usually as much as other NiTs standard but not very updated. It's too theoretical and research based. In cse there is no appreciation for software development but knowledge in core subjects. Well that truly boosts your confidence though. But still you have to learn the industry's sought skills on your own. (Ml, Android dev, web dev) these are mostly not on course. 2 or 3 teachers were really good. Except teachers who makes you gaze through the subject is very less. You might often find the lectures boring.

Yes one I got under qualcomm on campus from college third year and the other I got at Continental (off campus) not from college 2nd year. On campus internship opportunities come from 3rd year only.

Placement Experience

Campusing is good as mentioned earlier. In circuital branches big comapnies and many opportunities visit. Other branches have their fixed set of companies core to the dept and lesser in number. But a lot of analytics companies visit for all departments. So opportunities are there in abundance. You have to be sincere to get picked. Keep your cg atleast 8. 8.5 is better. Coz some company have cg filter.

Fee Structure And Facilities

If your family income less than 1 lpa you get total tution fee waiver. If less than 5 lakhs you get half tution fee waiver. Otherwise each semester you pay approx 90-95k. Where 50k around is tution fee. Total 8 semesters in btech course. Got internships at qualcomm and got ppo at the same. There are sone scholarships given and awards given for best academics.

Campus Life

Many cultural groups are there. Singing coding animal welfare social welfare everything has one or more groups. Campus life is very vibrant there. You meet and talk with different people. Sports is a very appreciated sector in college. We have won many inter NIT awards in sports. Basket ball, cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, badminyon all are there. There are two huge grounds for sport and many in house sports area. The tech and cultural fests are amazing. Cultural fest is one of the best at whole oddisha.

Hostel Facilities

Geyser,24-7 water and drinking water is there. Rooms are clean and cleaned weekly by the maids. Everything comes under hostel fee. Don't worry about that. Don't rent a room stay in the hostels they are good. First two years double room and last two years single room. Rooms are mostly spacious and arial.

Admission

2017 year Normal JEE Main exams. All mcq questions. 360 marks. Each question 4 marks and 3 papers equally distributed. Physics chemistry maths. You can find the info on latest exam patterns on official website.

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

The curriculum includes the real projects which help learn more practically. It would had been better to have more site and industrial visits and export sessions to learn better.The exams are not so difficulty to score.

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The pedagogy is excellent since majorly learning is through real-world case studies, reserach papers, peer discussions and interactive class activities. The professors provide materials and pre-reads at the starting of the term and the content is highly focussed on practical learning. The AI sessions are enriching. The difficulty level of exams vary among the instructors but usually is aligned with topics already taught.

there are smart class rooms and good faculty for my course and various extracurricular activities are available for students
you can compete many state and national level competitions such as essay writings, creative writings, debate, poster making, etc.
the management of the university is really commendable. various departments and cells have been established to help students in their academic life such as; placement cells, incubation and innovation centers for young entrepreneurs

Dislikes

students who are engaged in political activities often exercise their dominance over other students
sanitation could be better with the mutual efforts of both the students and the college management
though is a placement cell present, i haven't seen many numbers of students getting employed through the university placement cell

Well MBBS is a serving degree, if you are interested in serving the people you can choose this degree. It also needs a lot of patience, here we have classes from 7 AM so its a bit hard to wake up this early & ends at 4 PM which causes more trouble coz u won't get to rest properly, usually we end up being tired & lack of sleep, so I think this schedule can have a bit more change with regards to us children. The exams here are done very frequently, as in the class tests are taken up time to time , sometimes surprise tests are also done so u have to be very updated with what's being studied each cls.The internals are held in every trimester & at the end of the year a product exam is being held which is the important one.

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

So I choose these college over the others because of its relevant name and the hype of this college In India as It is Institute of national importance And also a government backed college and it is one of the most demanded college. So the colleges which I have applied to are DTU, NSUT, Nit Trichy, Nit Warangal, Nit Surat Kal And top 7 iits. No I was not rejected from the other college which I have applied to but the combination of branching and the college value Doesn't satisfied me for taking admission in that colleges. So the admission process for the Nit Rourkela Is that the eligibility criteria is 75% in 12th class And second criteria is to clear the entrance exam which is the JEE mains and also scoring a very good marks in it. Then by the centralised Josaa Counselling student will fill their choices ,lock and get allotments in the upcoming rounds of the josaa counselling. The ending rank to take admission in this college in the EC branch is about a 6000-7000 rank in the jee mains exam for the other state people. I chose NIT rourkela based on my JEE rank, as this was the highest rated college I could get.It had good placements, had a high NIRF ranking and in comparsion to my other choices was the clear winner. Internship-first step to placement.

The course requires us to clear jee mains in which the cutoff is above 90 percentile for general category. The form is found on NTA website and fees is about 1000 rs for general category. The exam happens twice in a year and by difficulty level is pretty descent...with maths the hardest and toughest.
