Remarks

Maths in 12th is cumpolsory to get into the course, one can also pursue economics hons course even ifhe/she doesn't have economics in 12th.You can find application form at the official Webpage of delhi university admission, the application fees for Indians General category students is 250 rs if you are not opting for dujat along with it and application dates change time to time but most of the time application dates are released after results of 12th exams.I had ews reservation which is provided by University. One improvement i wnat to see is that the speed of admission process must be improved because generally it consumes around 3 months of time just in admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose this course because I am interested to know more about the concept of economics. Also economics provide you with a large scope to work as economist , investment banker, hr managers in future. Teacher are really nice and experienced and have a plethora of knowledge. All the faculty members are overall great. The faculty students ratio is around 1 teacher per 12 students. Most of the teachers are phd holders and there teaching method is also very good without any faults Terms exams are conducted after every 5 months and are conducted on time within schedule. The level of exams is neither easy nor difficult it is somewhat medium level.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

A lot of internship opportunities are provided by abhyas internship cell at hindu college which brings regular internship for students and they are provided with stipend of around 7- 10k per month for internships. For my course internship projects include consulting, working under hr manager, business development analyst intern, etc. and skills are developed by doing these internship also it provides students with immense exposure and experience which is good for getting higher placements in future.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students become eligible for campus placement after 4 th semester and a large no. Of companies visit every year for placement and last year. As most of the students want to pursue higher studies afte bachelor's degree instead of getting placed but those who appear for interview most of them get selected. The highest package provided last year was around 20 lpa and average is 8 lpa. I am planning to pursue masters in economics after completion of my bachelor's degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the college is very nominal as it is a government college and its fees is totally legit and RoI is high. There are a lot of scholarships available. I didn't have availed any scholarship or job till now but the internship opportunities are regularly provided in the college by various companies.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual fest of hindu college is Mecca and it is conducted in the month of Feb. It boasts with one of the largest library in du with over 100000 books availability. Classrooms are neat and clean and well maintained. Hindu College has a large playground for various sports like cricket, football, etc. It also have a gym in the campus. There are more than 20 various known societies functioning in the college which are completely run by students for students. Few examples are Samhita, Buniyaad, NCC, NSS etc.

Other Applied Colleges

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University | B.A.(Economics)Hons

As this college was in south campus , I preferred North campus college .

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
