Remarks

Eligibility of the course is qualifying 12th board exam and the JEE Mains result is also taken into consideration. The application form for JEE MAINS is on jeemain.nta.nic.in application fees depend on year to year around 650-700 and application dates would be updated on JEE Mains website itself. There is a reservation for EWS, OBC, SC/ST, and PWD candidates.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because nowadays there is high demand for the IT field and there are so many recruiters in IT who visit our campus for campus placements. Faculty: student ratio is 1:15. Most faculties are Ph.D. qualified and the rest are Ph.D. scholars and MTech passed outs. The teaching method is just nice of the faculties. There are 2 Mid Semester Exams and 1 End semester Exam which happens here at NIT Kurukshetra and the one who studies seriously can pass the exam easily.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are also excellent. The top roles offered are SDE, Web Dev, Business Consultant etc. The average stipend ranges from 30k-40k and the highest stipend offered by Microsoft of 1.5 lakhs.

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. There are many recruiters including Microsoft, Amazon, DE Shaw, and Google recruits through campus placements and the number of offers made was 626. The highest package offered was 44 LPA by Microsoft and the average package in IT was 16.74 LPA. The major recruiting profile was for SDE roles. The total percentage of students who got placed was nearly 90% (all branches included). I plan to get campus placement in the SDE role.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees don't hike easily like there is no policy to hike the fees progressively. The semester fee is around 84000 and there is a fee waiver policy also anyone with a a valid income certificate with income less than 1 LPA can avail 100% tuition fee waiver and the ones whose income range is between 1-5 LPA can avail 67% fee waiver on tuition fees. All SC/ST and PWD candidates don't need to pay tuition fees.

Campus Life

The cultural fest is Confluence which is one of the biggest cultural fests in North India. Recently it was conducted in October. Tech Fest is Techspardha. Recently it was conducted in April. There are so many books in the library and you can issue them for a certain period. There is a book bank also on campus by which you can issue books for the semester-long. Sports facilities are Badminton courts, Tennis courts, cricket pitches, hockey grounds, volleyball courts, basketball courts, kabaddi grounds, a stadium and sports complex, etc. There are many cultural and technical clubs and societies that exist in NIT Kurukshetra run by students. Hostel Facilities

There is a 3 seater room provided for first-year students and from the second year onwards the 1 seater room is provided. There is one single bed, one chair, one table, one Almirah, fan, Lan port, etc. provided in the room with an attached balcony also. Mess quality is also good which is better than other colleges' mess. The hostel and mess are very affordable and the registration process is also simple. There are many PGs available outside the NIT Gate, kirmich Road that you can rent.

My Experience in JC Bose University

Likes

I like the claim and composed environment, no one shouting or making noise
Each buliding have lift which help reach higher floor easily
Having strong alumni association which help student get placement

Dislikes

I don't like the paper work delay during the admission after paperwork
Campus less crowded places are not maintained very well
Older buliding classes don't have ac in the classroom

In Electrical course we have many kind have course which design for solving various kind of problem in field , BSC ( Basic science course ) , ESC ( Engineering Science Course ) , DSC ( Disciplinary specialized Course ) , VAC ( Value Added Course ). Professors teaches with real life example and use 3D shape and animation to explain things easily.

Likes

The college is spread across 300 acres of lush green campus with a lot of greenery everywhere. The weather is also very pleasant
The infrastructure of the college is well maintained with proper department and parks . The labs are well equipped with the necessary equipment required for the practical knowledge of the student.
Sports facilities are also top notch in the college and also gym is provided in the sports ground.

Dislikes

In rainy season water stands in the hostels making it difficult to move in and out of the hostel.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate of the college is decent one with average package of about 12-14 LPA amd about 85% students are placed every year. Students can apply for placements after 2nd year and companies like JP Morgan , microsoft, Hero , ICICI Bank , etc. Visit the college

Infrastructure of our college is too good,having proper ventilation system ,well equipped AC ,a hygienic environment having a lush green campus.it has proper wifi facilties in the campus. I would personaly rate it 4.5/5.
Here we get exposure to various growth opportunities like sports,studies and research.Even our college is open for students who plan to start their startup. our college provides specific amount help for students aspiring to run their own startup.
while talking about social interaction, our college has a good crowd and people are friendly so its easy to connect with them,all the faculties are expert in their domain having a good background and knowledge in their feild

Dislikes

CCTV's are not present in class which should be there for security purpose. only in the campus and corridors CCTV are present.It's kind of hard for students to get their medical certificate approved , they need a lot of formalities.
Mess food is not upto the mark, it should have been better thats why students have to go to canteen and food stalls to eat food and in campus girls to boys ratio is too less .less number of girls as compared to boys.
The library space is also very short ,it get's crowder and filled up during exam times so students have to go to other libraries present in the campus and it gets hard for student to study in summer's outside the library.

Placement Experience:

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

Likes

I liked the environment alot. The infrastructure is very good.
The food court is also very good and provide good food on affordable price.
I like the teachers alot they are very easygoing and friendly to communicate with.

Dislikes

I don't like the uniform system as they ask us to wear it daily.
There should be days atleast once a week where we can wear casuals in college.
The teachers are very strict about the study.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

Genuine and Biased review

Likes

Wifi facility is available in hostels and in some classrooms
Teachers are quite good and they are very helpful

Dislikes

Placement are not good in dcrust one some some students get placed with maximum packed of 9 lakhs minimum 2.5 lakhs
Course curriculum is not updated they are not helpful in modern time.
Girls and boys ratio are not upto the mark.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not good in my college. Only few companies are recruiting through on campus like virtusa, tcs etc. average package is 3-4 lakhs and maximum package is 9 lakhs. From 4th year students are eligible for on campus placement. Only 30-40% of students get placed. I am thinking to give gate exam for better opportunity.

Best affordable quality college for middle-class

Likes

Good and well-spaced campus of the college.
Good placements with high salary packages at reputed companies.
Good, affordable college for engineering, suitable for middle-class students.

Dislikes

Poor WiFi connection at times, when too many people use WiFi at the same time.
Generator works till 11pm only at normal days.
Hostel food needs improvement, lack of quality chefs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

NIT KURUKSHETRA: An Honest Review

The key reason for my choice of NIT KKR college was it has affordable fee structure , good campus cirriculum. Admissions are based on JEE Mains, followed by JOSAA/CSAB counselling. Candidates must have at least 75% in class 12 or be in top 20 percentile of their board. Cutoff and Seat Allocation:- General category:-For cs/it candidate rank must be in 5k-10k. Other branches require less ranking. OBC/EWS/SC/ST : Lower rank benefits due to reservation quota. There is female quota too just to increase boys:girls ratio in engineering colleges.
