Course Curriculum Overview
I particularly chose this course because this was the best option for me so far as my rank and choice of college and the choice of the branch are concerned. Presently MNIT Jaipur has a 1:23 Student - to - Faculty ratio. Almost all of the teaching staff are Ph.D. holders with a good knowledge of the subject. Teaching methodologies depend on the teacher and can not be said in general. All examinations were held strictly according to the academic calendar. The exams are easy to pass with optimal study routines throughout the semester.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are offered during 3rd and 4th year. Stipends are as per the company chosen and specific. Projects are company based. Many projects are also run in the institute with student participation to provide them with hands-on experience.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for internships and PPOs from the 6th semester and for the final placements from the 7th semester. companies visited include Adobe, airtel, amazon, apple, bajaj, BHEL, ICICI bank, Deloitte, DE shaw, Flipkart, GAIL, goldman sachs, jp morgan, Mercedes Benz, oracle, and many others. Pre-placement offers were 122. 250+ companies visited. The highest package was 48 LPA for CSE, 37.49 for ECE, 62 for EE, and 15 for ME. placement percentage was 71% for CSE, 5215 for ECE, 64% for EE, and 80% for ME. I am still exploring the best career choice for me.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is not any fee hike policy as such. The course fee has been the same for the past few years. There may be changes in hostel and mess charges if needed in the future. The overall study cost is nearly Rs. 2,25,000 per year including hostel and mess charges. Fee remission is provided based on annual family income for which valid documents have to be provided. Tuition Fee is Rs. 0 for students whose annual family income is less than 1 lakh. 40% remission for those whose annual family income is between 1 to 5 lakhs. No fee remission for students with a family income greater than 5 lakhs. Also, the tuition fee is 0 for Sc/ST students on providing valid documents for the same. Students can apply for various other scholarships which the college authorities notify us of from time to time. There are no such in-campus stipend-provided jobs so far as my knowledge is concerned.
Campus Life
Annual Cultual Fest named Blitzschlag (Rajasthan's 2nd largest cultural fest) is held in February for 3-4 days. Annual Tech fest named Sphinx is held 4-5 months after Blitzschlag. All the course books are available in the college central library in the book bank which can be availed used the student id card. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned and huge with all facilities including projectors. Separate sports complex is there. Two badminton complexes (one newly created), football and cricket ground, basketball and vollyball court, lawn tennis court, table tennis and yoga halls. Malviya sports tournament is held every year which neighbouring colleges participate. There are several clubs registered under the Cultural Society and The Technical Society and they are all run by the students.
Admission
The admission process is through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) every year between January and April. The candidate should have passed class 12 to give this exam. The forms are released 1-2 months before the examination on the NTA website jeemain.nta.ac.in. Application fees are Rs. 1000 for male candidates of Gen / Gen-EWS / OBC (NCL) and Rs. 500 for Sc / ST / PwD / Transgender / Female candidates. There are usually two attempts for this exam and the best score of both attempts is considered. The result is announced by NTA itself and the student scores a percentile and an All India Rank. Based on this ranking the student gets admission through the counseling process which is organized by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority of India (JoSaa). Reservation is as per the government norms for the specified categories. The admission process is smooth and one usually doesn't face any issues throughout the process.
