- The NCC in campus is amazing. It is within the campus 63 and 64 BN. You should definitely join this
- Huge space and peace in the Tagore Library. It is opened till 5-6 pm. You can go and read whatever you want to
- Extremely talented professors who have achieved a lot in their field
Dislikes
- Professor and student relationship is not good. Professor are talented but don't pay attention to the students
- The Dean Office and Examination Office is filled with lazy people
- Chemistry and Physics lab are in the worst situation
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted BSc because I want to do higher studies and research in this field. There will be around 40-50 students in your class. Some well-qualified teachers have done their PhD from IITs but many of them lack in the methods of teaching. Students who are weak and not clear with their basics have to struggle a lot. This is the situation of many govt institutes. You have to work very hard. The level of semester exams varies from very tough to average and marks are not given a lot to the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Very affordable fees, nearly around 12000-15000 maximum per year.. scholarships are provided to EWS and other sections whose father's monthly income is low. You have to just fill out the form for the scholarship and attach the documents and after a month or two you will start getting a scholarship in your personal account. You should have your own personal account.
Campus Life
There are many fests conducted by the university and departments. There are two libraries CLL and Tagore. You can issue your books from the CLL library after issuing a card and paying library fees of Rs 250 I guess. Tagore is a very big library where you can peacefully sit and read books. There are many rooms for upsc aspirants and also a cyber library. You only need an identity card as a prove that you are a student of this university. The sports team of LU is amazing. They will take you to different places for competitions. There is an NSS group at the university.
Admission
The admission process at Lucknow University is very quick and easy. Fill out your forms when they are out, after one and a half months your admit cards will be out. Within a week or 10 days, your exam will be conducted in which there is no negative marking. You can attempt every question. There will be some questions from GK. Results will be out within 10 days and you will be asked to submit counseling fees which are refundable and will be added to your semester fees. After 5 days you will be asked to report with your documents and after a few days, your classes will be started. If there is any problem in your documents and the assessor is not satisfied then you may have to take rounds of LU campus.
