I got ARSD college in the 3rd cut-off at 96.75%, at that time its All India Ranking was 12th and the reviews were good so I applied for this college and I chose maths (hons.) as I have my interest in mathematics but it was not my first choice as I wanted to pursue statistics (hons.) but my marks were not enough for that so then I got my 2nd preference that was maths (hons.). As far as faculties are concerned most of them are enthusiastic, motivating and have a good command of the subject but some of them are like true professors, boring and strict. we have around 100 students in maths hons with two sections and about 12 faculties. Also the overall faculty: student ratio is good. The teaching methods are great no doubt about that but they ask for so much like assignments, practicals, presentations, tests, attendance and what not but no doubt teachers are supportive as well. Exams are a bit difficult for maths honours you need to have a good command of theories and applications to pass

Well, there are different internship offers from different companies especially the top recruiters through the placement cell, apart from that most popular internship programme is launched under the Vice Chancellor scheme of the University of delhi to which every student from delhi university can apply. It gives students a stipend of 10000. Recently there was an offer from Blinkit company for interns and management trainees. And they were offering a stipend of 15000 to interns and 20000 to management trainees per month. I haven't done any internships although I got offers from my sponsors when I was sponsorship head of the department of mathematics because I was quite busy between college and competition. So I don't have any internship experience.

Placements are improving and are better than before. I am not sure about the eligibility but if I am not wrong students become eligible in the 5th sem. This year around 70+ companies visited and around 150+ offers were made. Deloitte, KPMG, EY, Wipro are some of the top recruiters. As far as the highest package is concerned it was around 10LPA and the average package was 5.2 LPA. Most of the students (around 85%) go for higher studies rather than placements and among those who have applied for placements 80% of them get placed, from my point of view this is impressive Data. I am pursuing maths honours, so I know about the plans of maths honours students after completing the course. Most of us target IIT-JAM for our masters in mathematics apart from that some go for Actuarial Science, CAT, or UPSC and other government competitions. I am targeting CAT for getting into IIM's as I am quite interested in financial mathematics so now an MBA in finance will be my next step in the upcoming future.

The fees are very much affordable in all the DU colleges. It is between 10000 - 15000 during the admission in most of the colleges. As far as I know the highest fee is in Hindu college for computer science hons. and that is around 26000. So yes all the DU colleges are affordable, and without much hike like in my case the first year fees was around 12000 and the fees of 2nd and 3rd year was 13980 each. Also, there is financial relief for reserved categories and economically weaker sections. The college has an active placement cell so yes there are good campus placements on record. As I am going for a master's I am not that much involved in placements but what I know is campus placements in ARSD provide an average package of around 6.5 lacs and that is a pretty good number. So overall in my opinion students have a good opportunity of campus placements.

The campus life is pretty cool. You get a lot of places to hang out with your friends inside the college. The canteen is quite good but the prices are a little bit high and still affordable. There are other places like the college playground in winter, basketball court, badminton court, gardens and many other places to chill out with friends. We used to have different functions and seminars from time to time but the fests start from January end and end with the annual fest TIDE in March end. The library is quite good and spacious with good availability of goods and you will get a pretty good environment to study. Classrooms are above average but not brilliant. You will get enough space to sit and every classroom has projectors but it depends on the teacher whether they will use it or not. Sports and extracurricular activities are good. We have a lot of active clubs and societies apart from that cricket, football, badminton and basketball are some of the active sports in ARSD.

Well, the admission process was quite simple during my admission, as ARSD college comes under the University of delhi so the process was similar for all the DU colleges. As far as eligibility is concerned you must pass class 12 and then after you will be eligible to apply for any college of delhi university but the main game is all about clearing the cut-offs. I got admission in 2021 and at that time DU used to release the merit list based on your 12th score. You just need to check that list carefully whether you are clearing the cut-off of that particular course at a particular college or not. And then you just have to select that college and course combination and apply for that. All the information like application dates, application fees and dates are available on the website of DU. I am not sure about reservation. The admission process can be simpler than it is today. After CUET the release of cut-offs and the admissions should be done in a more clearer way so that it is easier for students.
