Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course of Mechanical Engineering that I choose has a very low work load which helps me to get ample of time to work on other things like my youtube channel, my dance practice, other club activities, and sports. There are two types of classes that are held in our college The faculty student ratio in the lecture class is around 1:800 that is there is one professor for 80 students. While in the tutorial classes the ratio is pretty good around 1:19.These tutorial class have only one purpose and that is to get our concepts strong. The faculty is very well qualified , those who take our lecture class are senior faculty menmbers while the ones taking our tutorial classes are the phd scholars. We have got 2 mid sem exams and one end sem exam . The mid sem exams are of 20 marks and the end sem exams are of 50 marks. the takes place after very 2 months with 3 exams per semmester.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college do provide UG internship opportunity for the students with good skillset. The training and placement cell provided the necessary facilities for recruitment process. The major companies that provided internhip were Microsoft, Goldmen Sachs, Accenture and many other. The main objective of the internship was to get real world exposure that can't be stimulated in the clasroom and providing hands on experince with research and development projects and to develop real time thinking and managerial skills. The internship offered by Microsoft hand a stipend of 1.5 lakh per month.

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees is 74500 per semester excluding the hostel fees and the mess fees. The fees structure is as follows: For the students with family income greater than 5 lakh its 74500. For the students with family income greater than 1 lakh but less than 5 lakh has fees of 32500 For those with family income less than 1 lakh gets full tution waiver and have to pay zero tution fees. NIT KKR provides one of the most affordable technical course in the entire country. The fees is less compared to many IIT's. There are many scholarships that are also provided to topper students in which they get a yearly stipend of 80000 .

Campus Life

4

The campus life is pretty good .The annual fest our college is "Confluence" which is organised in the month of october is one of the best cultural events where all sorts of performances ranging from dance, singing, stand up to cultural activities like art mela, photobooths , car show and many more. The technical event of our college is "Tech Spardha" and it is held in the month of January and the major clubs that participate in it are the I&E cell , SAE , Robotics and Aeromodelling. The library provided by the college is very good . All the books within curriculum and out of curriculum are present and can be easily issued for the entire semester. The classrooms are also ver well bulid and are fully air conditioned with proper sound proofing. There are a lot of clubs in our college ranging from dancing(SUC) to I&E to technical clubs like SAE and all of these are run by students of our college itself.

Hostel Facilities

4

The Hostel that we got in 1st year was Hostel no. 2 . The rooms in the hostel were not good along with that it was in triple sharing. The mess food was okay in H2. In the 2nd year of college we got the hostel number 10. Here the rooms are really good and are of single seationg which is very good . The mess of H10 is better than H2 and the food served is also better. The registraion process for hostel allocation is very simple all you have to do is to opt for hostel facilities during the registration process. The fees for the hostel is 7000 for single seating and the mess chargess are 30000 advanced per semester. The college is in a little remote region around 5km from city center of kurukshetra but you can fins PG to live in around 1 to 2 km from college.

Admission

The course that I opted for is Mechanical Engineering and the eligibility criteria was to get a CRL of 21615 or lower in the JEE exam. The cutoff of other branches like CS , ECE , Civil , and Information Technology are 6574 , 11086 , 31623 , 8468 and lower CRL in JEE. The aplication can be done on the institute website and the form can be downloaded from the website itself The application fees is around 2000 rupees. The dates for the application are updated on the institute website after the CSAB councelling is complete. The collge provides reservation benefits for the students with family income less than 5lakh. For students with family income less than 1 lakh gets total tution fees waiver and 0 tution fees is applicable. The one improvement I would want is that there should be Document verification immidiately at the time application and not later on.

Campus placements are offered with many companies visiting (700-800+). Highest packages can go high (Rs 30-56 LPA), but averages and typical offers vary (~ Rs 6-7 LPA), and placements rates differ by batch. Some students also pursue internships or off-campus jobs if campus offers are limited.

Placement Experience:

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

Placements are not good in my college. Only few companies are recruiting through on campus like virtusa, tcs etc. average package is 3-4 lakhs and maximum package is 9 lakhs. From 4th year students are eligible for on campus placement. Only 30-40% of students get placed. I am thinking to give gate exam for better opportunity.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

Don't join the college as they doesn't care about your career Faculty is bad and also doesn't have minimum experience and qualifications Teachers will change every semester or even teachers can leave the job in mid semester. If want a good career then don't go for it
