Course Curriculum Overview
For first semester, the course is same for all branches except some subjects. In first semester you have to study differential maths, engineering physics, environmental studies, communications in English or finance for tech branches and economics or business for other branches, and basic programming in c language. Like every college you have to study by your own as the professors only come to class to complete syllabus. Here every semester, 2 mid sem exam and 1 end exam happens.
Placement Experience
Our college provides placements but as we hear from our seniors that not much companies are coming for placement and the number of companies for placements are reducing year by year. And most of the highest packages were off campus. Last year the highest package was 1.25 cr but this year it reduces to 65 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
In my college, fees structure is different for students of sc/st or those have family income less than 1 lakhs per annum, 1 to 5 lakhs per annum and above 5 lakhs per annum. For sc/st and those who have family income less than 1 lakh, their first year fees is almost 55000 for first year and then 32000 per year. Campus Life
In my college, campus life is good like every year 1 cultural fest named confluence, 1 tech fest named techspardha, and 1 sports fest named citius happens, and the fests days are the most enjoying day during the whole years. There are too many social, cultural and technical clubs and sports facilities are top notch
Hostel Facilities
The hostel part is a little bit problematic like in first year (and girls of all years) you can not go outside hostel after 8:30 pm, buildings are too old, after 10 pm water supply stops. The mess food is very bad and among all the hostels only H2 is only hostel which provide good food in comparison to other hostel but still some days, the mess food is that bad you can not eat it. But if you good hostel friends then all of this can be compensated
Admission
To get into any nit, you have to clear JEE Mains and get a good percentile in it, syllabus for JEE Mains is physics, chemistry, and maths. Every year almost 12 lakhs students apper in jee mains and you be in the top 5 to 6 percent to get into NIT Kurukshetra.
