The variety of clubs and their events that take place helps you explore more and get out of your comfort zones.There is a club for everyone, be it a club for passion or career, everyone can join a club on their likings.
You are surrounded with some brilliant minds and brains around you.Many people come from different backgrounds and mindsets. The mindset of people hunger for success and chasing their dreams , you also get motivated to follow your goal.

Dislikes

Regionalism exists in this college very badly. Despite coming from different cultures, instead of people exploring and getting to know each other, they get comfortable with people of their own background and culture instead of socializing.
You cannot fully depend on the teachings of lectures. You have to self study to get decent marks. The faculty members just read some PPT slides and you won't understand them.You are forced to attend the classes due to the attendance policies.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is top notch and modern.The teaching of the faculty is manageable but you have to rely on self study to get good marks. Two quizzes, mid sem exam and an end sem exam at the end of all semesters.

Placement Experience

6th sem students can sit for campus placement interviews as long as their CGPA is above 7.There are a number of companies that recruit from here. Tata Mahindra is one of the main recruiters for mechanical engineers. Around 70 percent of the students get placed with the maximum placement being 10LPA without the Minors. Average package is around 7LPA and the lowest is 5 LPA. Many students opt for higher studies and I am one of them. I would like to pursue an MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students can avail a number of scholarships on the basis of merit and financial conditions. The fee here has remained same for many years without seeing much hike.The complete tution fee for one semester is 62500 Rs and hostel fee is around 33000 per semester

Campus Life

There are many club activities held for students to come out of their comfort zone, try new things and get new experiences. All the clubs are run by the students here There are mainly two events throughout the year. A technical fest called Engineer and a Cultural fest called Incident. Many Sports tournaments are held in inside and outside the campus. There are many gyms here with the last equipments and you don't need to pay for it..

Hostel Facilities

There are three hostels for first years and make sure you chose Aravalli for your comfort. Each hostel appoints a GMC and MC who represent the students. Make sure you vote for them wisely. The mess food is okayish and manageable.

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

You need to clear Jee exam with minimum of 97 percentile to avail seat in this college. After cracking Jee, students are expected to wait for Josaa to start their counseling sessions to allotjm seat as per merit only.Jee exams are conducted twice every year. They require almost discipline and hardwork to crack those exams.

Academic Curriculum- they constantly upgrade the subjects which needs to be taught
Labs - very well equipped labs for all branches.
You can choose to drop a lab and do it in winter break or summer break

Dislikes

very less holidays only 3rd saturday is holiday and they dont give holidays for jayantis and all
Auto drivers near the college. this is pure daylight robbery

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

I have been from diploma background, after diploma I joined this course as later entry (direct admission to 2nd year). In diploma also, I have studied the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. As I know the basic concepts about this course, it is easy for me now to understand the concepts.

Faculties are highly experienced and ready to help all the time
Good infrastructure with well equipped labs, library, sports

Dislikes

Washrooms need to be clean and good to use especially for girls hygiene it has to be good
Hostel food is not that great and needs improvement in the quality of food
Thought schedule everyday hard to cope up with everything

Infrastructure is well established and good
Security for Students is very high and no ragging

Lack of events and only the educational events
Only one playground for cricket and also remaining
security are very rude but some are bit friendly

Yes our college provide placements, from final year that is 7th semester they will allow for placements, Many companies visited our college like tcs, Cognizant, indegene, microland etc and average package is 400000 and highest is 1500000 it given by oracle, Nearly 60 percent students got that is either in both technical and non technical jobs, my plans to join a IT company

Campus Life and Social Interaction : Vibrant campus Life : The campus offer a dynamic environment with multiple student clubs , technicals societies , cultural fests ,and sports events students engaage in regular extracurricular activities.
Faculty Experience and Mentorship : Experienced faculty : The faculty at SVIT is often described as appreciable , knowledge, and supportive . professors are well - versed in there respective fields ,and many have industrial experience .
Placement support : Strong placement record: SVIT hasa good placement record ,with many students securing in top - tier companies like TCS , Wipro , Accenture, Infosys,. The college guidence through placement offers traning .

Dislikes

Collaborative Environment : Group project and assignment is core elements of curriculum with many course designed to involve group work and collaborative projects.
Cultural Activities : Are not celebrated more in semister
Collaborative learning : Communication barrier in larger teams especially working with different backgrounds or academic disciplines.

Placement Experience:

The placement at SVIT Bengaluru area quite impressive , especially in the technical field like Computer science, Civil, Electrical and Machanical Engineering.The college has a dedicated placement cell that students get the best opportunities for internship and final placement .At SVIT , Students typically become eligible for campus placement from the 7 th semester . However, the placement cell starts preparing students for interview and skill development from the 5 th semester onwards though mock interview , resume - building workshops , and personality development session.SVIT Bengaluru has strong industry connection , especially in the IT and engineering sectors .some of the companies that regularly visit the campus recruitment includes. TCS , Infosys , Wipro, Congnizant, Accenture,IBM, Capgemini ,Tech Mahendra , Amazon.High- package : The highest salary package offered in recent year was around 15 - 18 lakhs per annum for candidates . Average package: The average salary package offered is ar8 4- 5 lakhs per annum. The placement rates at SVIT is consistently high . On average , around 80-85% of eligible students get placed in good companies.

Less fees but wonderful knowledgeful experience

Particular teaching subject wise was not so clear.
Placement training courses coding wise was not that good.
Water facility sometimes was not good but it was ok nothing to dislike

Placement Experience:

1. From 7th semester onwards placement activities start. But from 1st semester itself they start training. 2. Windcare, Rinexx, Wipro, Infosys, A1 fence, Microdegree, Intellipath and so on. 3. Intellipath offers 10 lakh per annum and so on. 4. 85 percent students where getting placed. 5. To start my own venture.

Best location of college in the silicon valley of India

Conditions of hostels and mess is not good
Teachers and professors are not good in explaining concepts to students

Placement Experience:

From the end of 6th semester students become eligible for campus placemets.Many companies visit the campus including Oracle, UI path, etc offering students interships and full time jobs.The highest package offered to the student is 50 lakh per annum from UI Path and the average package of CSE branch is around 10lakh. Nearly 93% of students are placed in various companies.My plans after graduation is to grab a good on campus placement and look forward to my other goals in my life.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.

This college is one of the top engineering college in india ,even top than many IITs etc. ,this college is at very decent nirf anking,naturally location is also very beautiful, the branch i wantes to take has nice average placement in this college, this college have its private beach. Other collleges are also good i filled my preference choices according to my rank i got this college . this college was at my second choice place and i got this in my last councelling round . I am so grateful to destiny and my hardwork ,support of parents and teachers. On my first preference order NIT Trichy was there as my branch has good past academics and placements. I got NITRourkela tilll 5th round of josaa . And in final round I got NITK and I locked it as i only wanted to take it. I got rejected by NITT becouse of may be my rank . as others were deserving that more than me. Admission in college is the last step to get into the college.these engineering colleges are taking admissions through the exam named JEE Mains and Advanced.The eligibility for this exam is the student who is studying in class 12th or till 2 yrs dropper can give exam with subjects taken PCM or PCMB in +1 /+2.they have to clear the CBT based exam and than cutoffs comes and colleges are taking students by councelling process. The JEE Mains exam is for 3 hours and Advanced is for 6 hours with parts of two 3-3 hours in paper-1 and 2 .Cutoffs for general in mains for year 2025 was 93 percentile ....Read More

A mini heaven on earth called NITK

After GATE exam, I applied to almost all top NITs like NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut etc during CCMT counselling . I had also applied in IIT Dhanbad in COAP counselling. I got IIT Dhanbad in 8th round. I spoke to my coaching Sir, he had advised me to go for top 3 NITs rather than IIT Dhanbad. Since these three NITs are well established and offer better placement opportunities as compared to IIT Dhanbad which is relatively a new IIT. One needs to qualify GATE exam to get a shot at taking admission in IITs/NITs. Once you qualify the GATE exam you can then look at specific colleges cutoff for admission. I got NIT Surathkal in special round 1 which was held after 3 regular rounds. I preferred NIT Surathkal as compared to other NITs since its considered in top 3 NITs and also it's near my home as compared to NIT Trichy....Read More

Great campus life with good placement and private beach, a place like heaven for engineering

After the cutfoffs are released by CSAB i got a seat in NITK, Information Technology. I prefered this college because of the campus (private beach), placements statuts, and seniors recommondation. nitk- a college you can go for

This was the best college i could get with my jee rank. so i chose it, i was also interested in electronics. also location of college was convenient for me for travel to home. to get National Institute of Technology Karnataka u need a really good score in JEE (easier said than done), reservation also play a role whether u get your prefred college. there is also luck involved in the paper that u got for your mains. with a rank below 10k you can get this college. higher the rank better the branch you can apply for. I had applied to other iits, but the courses I wanted weren't as good as the one I was getting in nitk, so though it was a tough call, i finnally opted for the cse branch over here. Our college takes in candidates from the jee mains examination, which is done through josaa councelling. Cutoffs starts somewhere around 50k for the lowest branch and could go as higher as 2000 for branches like cse through general quota.
