- Academic culture and techers, some of the teachers are really helpful even helping you in postgrad studies and personal guidance
- Mental health awareness, Dedicated club, yoga center and therapist to consult.
Dislikes
- Road safety norms in front of the college are not so strict. Speeding cars are a usual scenario.
- College fights ruin a lot of the cultural and tech fests.
- The way college maintaining its own data is very poor, filing paperwork and office hours is hectic.
Course Curriculum Overview
i particulary selected this course because of how its designed. Apart from the core electrical subjects we were to take 2 electives every sem to learn something different as well which includes diverse set of choices. It really helps you prepare for the real world with subjects like economics, ethics and business management. It could be improved a little with the course syllabus. Even the teachers agree the sullabus is not properly designed. Freaquesncy is usually once a month and they are easier to prepare for as most of the questions are based on your understanding of the subject.
Internships Opportunities
so you can expect all the big companies like microsoft, google, amex and other to hire but most of them will hire only a few no of students. Some like udaan and genpact take student in big numbers like 30 - 40.
Placement Experience
College placements are average i would say. Not a lot of companies visit and average package is mediocre i would say. But the NIT tag can get you a lot of interviews. People outside the sampus value the NIT tag a lot and would really convey this even during the hirign process.If you're not getting a job on campus. you'll surely strike one from outside with little skills.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fee's are fairly low. around 80k per sem. Its the mess fee thats really costly, like 5k per month and they charge a lot as miscellaneous. mess fee ar elike 5k a month and even they'll take your security money with some reasons, But financial aids are easy to get with only a few certificates and they are available on adequate. I did not accept any emloyments through the campus
Campus Life
Overall expperiece was good. Club culture is awesome, so comes the added benefit of social life with it. Also the infastructure is nice as well. well equipped with ac n other things you wll ever require.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are decent. Room are small but you can live with it. So are the washrooms but adequate per person washrooms are there and the cleaning services are well son it dosent really bothers that much. All the hostels are well equiped with gamings areas and gardens so thats a plus.
Admission
THe admission is through JOSAA and JEE Mains. The cutoff for electrical is around AIR 20k, keeps changing. This can be a bit hectic and you might have to visit the nearest nit during the application process. But the process afterwards is fairly simple and and financesa re handled with care. Any money you pay will be adjusted later.
Faculty
The faculty to student ration is excellent and approximately 1:5 which greatly enhances the learning experience by allowing for more personalized attention. All the faculty members own phd.s and reaserch works and go through a rigurous hiring process. You can reach out to them anytime. They are usually available even on calls and always supportive.
