Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course and the curriculum was really good and well balanced with respect to future competitive exams. We had good amount of practicals in our curriculum as well as hands on experience on various laboratory equipments. The bio informatics part in the last semester was the best one, amongst all. The way professors taught us every step in bioinformatics practical, it was worth appreciating! We also had continous presentations and assignments time to time, which brushed up our knowledge and skills, regularly.

Internships Opportunities

5

I did internship in my first year of Bachelors, as a Content Writer Intern with The Healthy Company, which is basically a startup by two young enthusiasts, Devansh Jain Nawal and Ackshay Jain. I worked for 3 months with them, and got paid ? 6000 for the 3 months in total and also got to learn a lot as well as got the certificate of best intern throughout the work time.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement cell unit of Miranda House is the best, most active and strongest amongst all colleges in Delhi University. The average package that one gets is of around 8 to 9 LPA, and the maximum goes around 40 to 45 LPA. The same placement cell also provides internship opportunities to the students who have registered for the placement cell site.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure was - 20,000 per year ( for total 3 years). And it was worth it. Also the hostel fee wasn't included in this. It was to be paid separately. I don't have much idea about hostel fees because I didn't stay at hostel, I used to come directly from my home in Ghaziabad. Also, for some students, if financial assistance was required, the college did provide that too, providing that the student had proper documents for proving the need of financial assistance. The campus has a placement cell unit in which one registers and gets to know the upcoming internship and job opportunities available through campus. I also did one Content Writer Internship in the first year only through the same placement cell. And I must say, the placement cell of Miranda House is one of the most active and strongest one all over the Delhi University.

Campus Life

5

The overall experience was extremely beautiful! The classes, practicals and assignments were definetly hectic, but worth it. I was also a member of the Indian Music Society of my college, named Geetanjali, and also went for performances in various fests in IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur etc. The campus was extremely good and we'll equipped with latest technologies. The Diwali fest and annual fest of MH - TEMPEST used to be the best part of the whole year. People from far away come for these fests.

Admission

I took admission in 2019, a year before Covid shook us all. So, I simply registered for Delhi University UG admissions 2019, and the day 1st cutoff was supposed to release, I saw that my overall percentage of class 12th boards does fall under the given category in Zoology honors bsc, in Miranda House college. So, I took all of my documents in the file, to the college campus and went for offline document verification and seat confirmation there. So, before covid, all this process used to be offline only. But now the process has changed totally. Now everything is online. Also, now, 12th boards percentage doesn't gets count in, for the admission, one has to clear CUET UG for the same.

Faculty

5

I studied in the Zoology Department, so I can share about the Zoology faculty specially. All the faculty members in our department are extremely qualified, educated and great researchers. One of our faculty member was herself a student from Miranda House only, who pursued her PhD from Miranda only and now got appointed as Assistant Professor in the same college. So, this shows that all the faculty members are extremely qualified and talented in every way. They are very approachable and understanding. They always taught with new methods and techniques. Practicals used to be the best taught by the teachers.

I will rate the course curriculum 8/10. I like the labs specially they are modern with well equiped systems. According to me I suggest to improve the course structure to include more practical based learning instead of theory. Overall course is good.

Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
