Remarks

The college management is good in its way of administration. The rules are strict for hostels. However the entry timings for the hostel for the first years should be increased to match that of the seniors.

Entrance Preview

MUOET is the only entrance examination you need to qualify to get into MIT and i scored 110/200 and as it's content in the list of colleges for the core branches, i opted for MIT

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure doesn't focus too much on research, however the college promotes student projects and have a whole lot of best student projects in asia like AeroMIT and Formula Manipal. So if you get into any one of them you'll get an enhanced skill set than the rest at the end. However if genuinely assessed, the course curriculum is between good and very good with a lots of exposure and extra curricular activities going on everytime in the college

Internships Opportunities

I am not pretty sure about this question. But yes, the faculty advisors helps the students in finding out some very good internship opportunities in and around manipal in the industrial sector. The stipend depends on the role of the intern viz between 4000-15000 and the students in the student project spend their entire vacation working with the team and going for competitions around the globe.

Placement Experience

4

Compared to many of the over rated universities, manipal have a very good placement and job opportunities being offered by the top multinational companies like microsoft, mercedes, delloit, amazon etc., for the deserving students. If you are a very bright student with a handsome cgpa(8 and above) you are definitely getting a job with an above average package. And if you are counted in the average category with a cgpa between 7-8 you may get good oppurtunity based on knowledge in the branch, otherwise, everyone ends up getting an average package in bulk recruitments

College Events

5

There are many events and recruitments for student clubs going on very frequently in manipal. Most important in all of them are the (1) techtatva viz the technical event of manipal. It is kind of a tech info where everyone showcases their talents in various events related to technology like robowars, fuel RC, kraftwagen etc (2) revels, viz the inter college cultural fest hosted by MIT (3) utsav viz another cultural fest hosted by manipal university

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure falls on the expensive side as the tuition fees is almost around 3 and a half lakhs which if more than many of other private colleges and the hostels are expensive too ranging from 80 thousand to 1 and a half lakhs which would sum up nearly to be around 20 lakhs for four years

Fees and Financial Aid

Aicte offers scholarships in the college. The top 100 ranks get a full waiver on the tuition fee and the rest upto 1000 ranks get it depending on the family income. The student loan facility is available and can be easily availed throught the university.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is the most amazing in the country here with a spread of beaches and tourist attractions nearby, one of them being goa. The gender ratio isn't fair though It's more like 75:100. The dj nights and sunburn campus are amazing and with a lots of artists, musicians and singers always visiting the campus the campus life is lit. Its the most liberal campus in india with no problems or restrictions in boy to girl interactions. The workshops are always offered by the technical clubs in MIT which are of great standards.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facilities are amazing. They have well furnished rooms and well maintained sanitation in washrooms. They have a 24 hour decent free wifi for the students throughout the campus and in the hostel limiting its free usage upto 30-40 GB per month. The mess food is definitely better than any other colleges in india without doubt out of which the breakfast is the winner. If you are thinking of staying out of the hostels the flats ranges between 7k-25k for 1,2 &3 bhk respectively. The cooks and maids are easily available at cheap cost.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors here are the most amazing and polite. They interact with you, they share their experience and their skills in the most friendly way whether it be on campus or off campus. They are definitely responsible for the job they have been given and so that's more of a chill scenes mood in the campus with the seniors which enhances the quality of experience in the campus

Exam Structure

Exam structure if compared to the rest of the colleges is the best and the toughest (for internals) in manipal as its not just writing and submitting the assignments over here. They take frequent assignment tests based on which the internals are marked. So unlike the rest of the colleges its not that easy to score good marks in internals. The labs and exams are not very frequent, as they give the ample amount of time to overcome the exam stress and prepare for the next ones. So, it is lretty chilled out.

Admission

There is a counseling schedule which is shared soon after they declare the rank list and then you get to choose among the branches available as per the rank. They require all the basic documents like mark sheets, DOB etc.for the admissions and everything is well administered by the faculties in charge

Faculty

4

Most of the faculties have masters in their departments and have a history in the teaching and hence are experienced. So, the faculties are above average and some of them are excellent too. Some of them may even piss you off and a very little of them are like average. But, overall the faculty is good and the best thing is that they give you their time whenever you need them to clarify any sort of doubt you have. All you need to do is to call or text the faculty and ask for a time slot for the clarification of the doubts.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
