Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is very valid and very comprehensive and is very helpful in terms of ballb. Specific aspects of the curriculum that influence my decision to choose this course Is the course itself of a 5 year integrated ballb, it have a lot of different variety of legal knowledge inculcated that excites me. It Perfectly prepare the person with inculcating practical knowledge and experience as well for real world applications and academic pursuits In the name of improvement in the course curriculum I don't feel any improvement as such for now. And for teaching methods yes it can be improved by improving the teaching method itself and using more new age methods than the orthodox one's. The frequency of time in exams is something which is very hectic and problematic and I feel this should be taken seriously because it give the lot of mental stress on a student because exam come very quickly one after the other and except for end sems rest are easy..

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There is internship and recruitment committee cell in the school of law Christ University itself which provides you with great internship opportunities and CV building. The name of the companies and firm that have visited includes tri legal and Sam and cam and other firms and mainly chambers of lawyers and advocate of Karnataka High Court and others The project and the outcomes that are given internships basically focuses on enhancing the legal knowledge and experience of a student. It mainly include practical knowledge of drafting and knowing how court works issues of cases and etc.

Placement Experience

4

The students become eligible for sitting in placements after the 8th semester. There are many huge and big companies , law forms and in houses that visit the college for placements are includes trilegal, Sam and cam , azb partners, Luthra and Luthra etc. They are several offers that are made, I am not sure of the number. The highest package as per my knowledge went up to 17 + lpa and the average package that went was 10 LPA There is a significant percentage of students getting placed.I am not sure of the number. My plans after getting the degree is pursuing into corporate legal field in mainly into mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property law.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees includes 240000 rupees which just the tuition fee and One time Registration fee of 5000. There is no such difference in fee with respect to any cast, but the is a nominal difference with respect to Karnataka residents that is 220000 rupees The fee of Nri candidates are higher than normal candidates, around approx. 300000 to 320000. The fee is fixed for 2 years, but there will be a periodic nominal increase to meet the rise in costs. Fees should be paid within the stipulated date for the first year and before the commencement of final examinations of the 2nd semester, 4th Semester, 6th Semester, and 8th Semester for the consecutive years. Students may need to purchase a laptop at their own expense if the department requires it. Students who want to take out a bank loan can request a recommendation letter from the Office of Admissions by presenting their original fee receipt. For scholarships, there are few organisations that provide scholarship on merit basis.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life in Christ is amazing it is very vibrant and the crowd here is truly amazing. It provides you with a lot of opportunities to explore There are many annual festivals that are held in Christ that includes from sports fest such as pedagogic leagues to dance and drama and other fest like darpan, College annual fest and Ethnic day. There are also many different types of fest and even that are also held by different courses. These events are fest are mostly held in the month of July August September Christ University have a huge and big library with a great and vast number of resources of books to ebook to many E resources. Really a lot of them. The classrooms are fully quive every technology from projects to speakers to smart board. The college is great in terms the sporting culture and have one several competitions. It also have a lot of social groups clubs and everything which impact student life a lot and give the lot of experience

Admission

Except for Christ I applied for several other colleges such as I wrote clat and other colleges as well like symboises Pune and Noida and nirma University. I couldn't clear CLAT but was able to secure admission in both Nirma University and symbiosis. I left the other two colleges and choose this one because of the location advantage and affordability and great curriculum and faculty and good placement record I got rejected from symbiosis Pune but was admitted in symbiosis Noida and the reason for not getting selected was the interview process The admission process in Christ is a bit lengthy and can be hectic as well it begins with a written exam after which students are called for interview and micro presentation on one of the colleges of Christ. And the final admission is done after all this process in which after getting admitted you have to report to the college for completing the formalities For admission interview and micro presentation matters most with good written exam.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is good but could have been great. They are very approachable and their very Frank with the student the help us in each and every topics.Thier way of teaching of the faculties are very good and understandable You faculty that I really like in the first semester is faculty of legal learning in judicial process, faculty of political institutions and processes , faculty of political theory and faculty of law of torts. I like them because they are very understanding and the teach very well which I can easily understand and the best of all the faculties right now is faculty of law of torts There are four exams in which 3 are very easy and last one End sems is bit hard and it's divided as Cia 1 Cia 2, mid sems Cia 3 End sems The exams are good to test knowledge and can fail students with no knowled

Interview Experience

3

The test pattern of the written test was more of English analytical GK and legal and maths In the interview the process of interview was divided into three parts first micro presentation, in which we had to write essay on two topics. After which followed by the second part of the interview where they judge you while asking you questions and your micro presentation topic which you have written and which is followed by the last step of speaking on a topic for 2 minutes on the spot. For my preparation I prepared all of this from the help of YouTube and my own self confidence

Placement Experience:

The placements of Christ University Bangalore, are pretty decent. Students are eligible to get placements for the 9th semester, and there are a lot of companies that come for campus placements like Shardul Amrchnad Mangaldas and Cyril Amrchand Mangaldas, Khaitan, Puviyah and co., Trilegal and etc. The highest placement that went last year was 23 lakh, and the average placement is 6-7 lakhs. My plan is to do litigation after getting a degree.

Placements are okay not so good because of the field as Law doesn't have much placements because it is only given in corporate sector and other things people only have to get employment like for Self employment.

Placement Experience:

The university has a placement cell which is helpful. They help us get internships in which place we want (only if we are eligible). The placements are nice which are reported by the seniors. We got to know that most of the seniors had a starting package of 7L per annum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

A professional course with the best college fees is the main perks of this college. It is even a Joseph's College, which is one of the best colleges in Bangalore. We have certificate courses, outreach programmes, committee events, etc. The teaching method is interesting, teachers don't rely on textbooks but on activities, cases, programmes, etc. The cousre is not difficult or not easy, so it's moderate. If you study, you can easily ace it. We have to go for internships too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course for three reasons: read, write and speak. The first two I love and the last I wanted to improve. Law as a career gives you opportunity to learn these skills. The faculty student ratio is 1:60. Our batch of 180 is divided among three sections. It has trimester system, which means you'll have exam every three months.
