Likes

Teaching staff of this college is very good.
Some additional courses like skill enhancment course,value addition course these course increase knowledge of students rhather than books
Very good opportunity for sports students.

Dislikes

The time when elections come there are lot of pamplets on wall and on floor.
Hostel facility is not available for students who line in distance under 100km
College canteen is very unhygenic and food taste is not so good

Course Curriculum Overview

I have opted for BA prog with combination of english and political science. I have opted this because i have interest in pol sci and also i want to improve my english. I little bit weak in english so to improve my english i opted this course

Class Size: 47Course Fees: INR 13601 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee will increase every year in 1st year i have paid 10,000 but now in 3 year i have paid 13,601. This college h various types of scolarships like if you belong to BPL then you get some scolarship for that.

Campus Life

I have a good experience with campus life i enjoyed in many fests held in delhi university,also every college of delhi university have a library within them and books were also available there you can study books there or if you want to take book to home you can issue that book from library,classrooms are very good.

Admission

I have applied for 2 universities( delhi university and central university of haryana) but central university of haryana don't have course for BA so i selected delhi university. Another reason for selecting delhi university was that delhi university have no. of students from different areas so you can build connectivity to them. The admission process was very simple you have to give a paper of CUET then you got admission according to your score.

Faculty

The college faculty is very good and very easily approchable you can meet teachers directly in staff room. Exams very held in 2 terms for 1 year like there is a semester system exams were comducted 2 times in a year and exams were easy for those who study but mostly the exams were based on general knowledge.

Likes

Personally I like my college's environment. It's so friendly and cooperative.
It's an all girls college so it's so comfortable as it is away from male gaze.
I highly do recommend this college for study and personal growth.

Dislikes

I somewhat dislike it's canteen. The food is not as good as our expectations.
The prices in canteen is very high with low quality food.
I dislike the thing that a few professors favour some fix students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yeah the curriculum here is so strong, it's student friendly and ability enhancement. The courses offer here are relevant and can be applicable in our day to day lives. It gives us insight into ourselves.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Infrastructure of the college is very up-to-date.
College crowd is very active and diverse, giving opportunity to learn and explore.
Teachers are very well educated and friendly towards the students.

Dislikes

Sports facilities at the college need to be improved.
Few teachers methods of teaching are traditional and outdated.
There is strict criteria for attendance, to maintain 66.7 percent

Placement Experience:

Final your students are eligible for the campus placement. Companies visited are HDFC Bank, Zomato, Swiggy, mahindra,EY, Deloitte and others. Highest package was around 30 lacs per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs. Job profiles were mostly business analyst, research and development, PR and others. I will prepare for civil services examinations after clearing my graduation.

Our placement services is efficient and effective which always comes up with quality companies in terms of employment and package.
We have solid infrastructure which includes medical rooms, basketball ground, main ground, fest ground etc.
Our faculties expert in their teaching of respective subject where the teaching method is technology based and mentorship quality is demand based

Dislikes

Our course curriculum is relevant but sometimes it lacks little practical learning.

Placement Experience:

Student set in the placement from 5th semester where where is companies visited college for the campus placement such as KPMG, Zomato Deloitte, etc and number of offers made were not explicitly disclosed by the college and highest package was 25 lakhs and average package was 4 lakhs and profile offered were finance, marketing, etc around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

Moments of happiness

Likes

I liked the ration of girls and boys it's almost same .
The teaching method of teachers and the library.
College infrastructure and various opportunities and sports ground .

Dislikes

Events in college are usually too short like till 5 pm only .
Classes starts at 8:40 in winters atleast it should start by 10 .

Placement Experience:

English hons is not a course in which placement is that widespread as far as I'm aware . But our college provides placements for other courses like b.com etc and we have placement cell which keeps updating us on internship or placement opportunities and overall package is quite good .

Likes

The teaching faculty is really nice and polite. They usually help students even when u contact them after college hours.
The engagements and the quality of the social interactions in this college is also very good and very uplifting.
The quality of the infrastructure is very good compared to other colleges in du, considering its very new.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because the thought of learning about the literature of the older times was pretty exciting to me while I was choosing the course. The curriculum however does prepares you if you want to continue ur academic journey in the English field.

The college is in a safe place and has hygienic and clean environment. Also because it is an all girls college there is always a sense of security.
The college offers various kinds of internships paid / unpaid which are open to students from all courses.
The college offers extra curricular activities and societies which enhance the student experience

Dislikes

There are no Ac's in any of the classroom which make it difficult for students to attend classes in the scrotching heat.
The teacher's do not finish there syllabus on time and make the subject confusing for students.
The canteen and the food there is not very hygenic

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Deloite , airtel, zomato, bajaj , kpmg, ey, accenture etc. Companies recruit students for jobs and internships. 60 percent of students in maitreyi college are placed. The highest package might range from 100000 to 1500000 and average package ranges from 4 to 8 lakhs. After my degree i plan to give government exam's like HAS etc.

Ramjas the heaven on earth

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
