Course Curriculum Overview
I feel the curriculum is great and I chose it particularly to appear in UPSC's optional in future with this subject. However,I feel the teaching methods should be improved to make the subject more easier and fun to learn.Also,trips should be organised monthly to museums,and excavations.
Internships Opportunities
In our course,there is literally no internship. However,one can try sitting in a placement cell with requisite skills.Top companies like byjus,etc have also came in our college especially for students who are from commerce stream.
Fees and Financial Aid
Not getting any financial aid for now. Being in 1st year from history hons course,I am paying Rs26,935 in hansraj college,DU. Students from other categories are paying around Rs26000,and yes the fees is increasing but student union will be taking some steps to bring it down
Campus Life
So,the best fest in DU prolly, confluence held every year. Including which some other small events like Diwali festival,garba nights and cultural events take place. We have a great access to the library as well and we get to read the latest newspaper or any old book in the library. Talking about sports,anyone can access sports facilities between 12:30 to 4:00 pm if you are not a regular part of sports club. Some societies are literally the best for involvement and overall growth leading to a positive impact on a student's life
Admission
Okayy,So It was my 2nd preference. And I froze it as I got it in my 1st round after Giving CUET. I got 746/800 in Cuet with gen-ews. So you require at least 740+ with EWS and 760+ for general to get admission in this college. I chose this because it is literally the best in every parameter.however,My 1st preference was hindu college just because it offers a variety of courses whereas In hansraj,we arts students have limited options only..I couldn't got 777 which was the 1st cutoff for my course in Hindu college,So I admitted myself in hansraj only.
Faculty
There are 3 teachers teaching us 3 different core subjects.. one teacher for 102 students. Though facilities are approachable,but I don't find them knowledgeable enough personally. They are not interested in finding new ways of giving solutions. I liked my General elective's female teacher. She is teaching us literature and Human rights currently and she is very interactive in the class. For VAC, constitutional rights and fundamental duties,the faculty is great too. Even for history of USA, sudipta mandal sir is great. I didn't like kundan kumar sir,he kind of make fun of students who asks questions more often. Also,he teaches in Hindi which leads to probelm for the students who don't know Hindi.Even yodengra dayma sir is not a great teacher. As,I am a fresher,I can't tell much.. but there are total 7 exams,3 core and 4 additional.
