Course Curriculum Overview

the curriculum is more or less good , economics hons is usually a tough course so yeah it's challenging but doable , our professors are just obsessed with exams and internals though. (you're advised to maintain your attendance)

Internships Opportunities

most the internships are related to digital marketing, manager etc. it's not that difficult to crack the interviews for these internships. but yeah you won't find a single intership for other fields ..

Placement Experience

placement cell of our college is good for management or marketing placements vut for other courses like eco, stats, applied psychology there ain't any placements /internships but if you have a good score you can get jobs pretty easily

Fees and Financial Aid

fees for this college is a but more than other DU colleges , for economics hons I had to pay 22500 for the first year and 23500 for the 2nd. As for the 3rd year it is expected that it will further increase to 25000

Campus Life

campus life is good fkif you join some good societies cuz the crowd in courses like bcom hons , eng hons etc is ???? and yes the politics is really bad . college library is probably one of the best thimgs about this college you'll find almost every book you'll need.

Admission

I did not apply to any other universities other than DU since there ain't any good colleges in delhi other than DU, there's IPU but it is okayish I did apply for b.com hons in IPU but I was suggested not to go with IPU

faculty for some courses are really friendly but some are just shitheads but yeah most of the members are approachable and the exam structure is just the same in all DU colleges (fucked up). overall the college has a decent faculty

Likes

Personally I like my college's environment. It's so friendly and cooperative.
It's an all girls college so it's so comfortable as it is away from male gaze.
I highly do recommend this college for study and personal growth.

Dislikes

I somewhat dislike it's canteen. The food is not as good as our expectations.
The prices in canteen is very high with low quality food.
I dislike the thing that a few professors favour some fix students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yeah the curriculum here is so strong, it's student friendly and ability enhancement. The courses offer here are relevant and can be applicable in our day to day lives. It gives us insight into ourselves.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Infrastructure of the college is very up-to-date.
College crowd is very active and diverse, giving opportunity to learn and explore.
Teachers are very well educated and friendly towards the students.

Dislikes

Sports facilities at the college need to be improved.
Few teachers methods of teaching are traditional and outdated.
There is strict criteria for attendance, to maintain 66.7 percent

Placement Experience:

Final your students are eligible for the campus placement. Companies visited are HDFC Bank, Zomato, Swiggy, mahindra,EY, Deloitte and others. Highest package was around 30 lacs per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs. Job profiles were mostly business analyst, research and development, PR and others. I will prepare for civil services examinations after clearing my graduation.

Our placement services is efficient and effective which always comes up with quality companies in terms of employment and package.
We have solid infrastructure which includes medical rooms, basketball ground, main ground, fest ground etc.
Our faculties expert in their teaching of respective subject where the teaching method is technology based and mentorship quality is demand based

Dislikes

Our course curriculum is relevant but sometimes it lacks little practical learning.

Placement Experience:

Student set in the placement from 5th semester where where is companies visited college for the campus placement such as KPMG, Zomato Deloitte, etc and number of offers made were not explicitly disclosed by the college and highest package was 25 lakhs and average package was 4 lakhs and profile offered were finance, marketing, etc around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

Moments of happiness

Likes

I liked the ration of girls and boys it's almost same .
The teaching method of teachers and the library.
College infrastructure and various opportunities and sports ground .

Dislikes

Events in college are usually too short like till 5 pm only .
Classes starts at 8:40 in winters atleast it should start by 10 .

Placement Experience:

English hons is not a course in which placement is that widespread as far as I'm aware . But our college provides placements for other courses like b.com etc and we have placement cell which keeps updating us on internship or placement opportunities and overall package is quite good .

Likes

The teaching faculty is really nice and polite. They usually help students even when u contact them after college hours.
The engagements and the quality of the social interactions in this college is also very good and very uplifting.
The quality of the infrastructure is very good compared to other colleges in du, considering its very new.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because the thought of learning about the literature of the older times was pretty exciting to me while I was choosing the course. The curriculum however does prepares you if you want to continue ur academic journey in the English field.

The college is in a safe place and has hygienic and clean environment. Also because it is an all girls college there is always a sense of security.
The college offers various kinds of internships paid / unpaid which are open to students from all courses.
The college offers extra curricular activities and societies which enhance the student experience

Dislikes

There are no Ac's in any of the classroom which make it difficult for students to attend classes in the scrotching heat.
The teacher's do not finish there syllabus on time and make the subject confusing for students.
The canteen and the food there is not very hygenic

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Deloite , airtel, zomato, bajaj , kpmg, ey, accenture etc. Companies recruit students for jobs and internships. 60 percent of students in maitreyi college are placed. The highest package might range from 100000 to 1500000 and average package ranges from 4 to 8 lakhs. After my degree i plan to give government exam's like HAS etc.

Ramjas the heaven on earth

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
