Remarks

Overall, the college has its own good points in making students life better. College management is quite well.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum for economics students is one necessary GE subject, one enhancement course (ex: AECC ) and 2 core subjects. The exams are held every sixth month conducted by Delhi University. It is relevant as they get to know the progress of students, their catch in a particular course/subject. As I was always interested to know more about the economic world, how it works and what all is the process, I am getting to learn things in a better way.

Placement Experience

4.5

Our college placement cell is very active and works efficiently by providing regular sessions and seminars on various topics (ex. how to crack interview). it also provides very good internships. Also, the companies that come to recruit students are reputable and commerce and arts batch get most of the placement opportunity.

College Events

4.5

Various events are conducted by the college through different societies. Every society conducts its own event like NSS team conducts Diwali Mela, photography society conducts its own event named tabeer. One of the biggest events in college fest -Manjari which occurs every year for 2 days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

course - BA. hons economics fee structure first year fees - Rs 15000/- Second-year fees- Rs 13500/- TOTAL FEES FOR 3 YEARS- 45093 other expenses - every semester examination fee - 600 Travel expenses- 3000 per month Books expenses- 800-1000 every semester

Fees and Financial Aid

I have never opted for a scholarship or education loan. I have never availed any loan for education nor any scholarship.

Campus Life

2

Campus life is quite good if one gets out of the books. There are many colleges and we get to see them during some events, make contacts with some people. It is a very good place to enjoy, learn new things. Gender ratio - Women ratio is more than men due to two girls college in north campus. Also, female composition outnumbers that of the male in nearest metro station Vishwa Vidyalaya. Diversity- Students from different cities and areas come in the north campus to complete their graduation. It is the most diverse area as students from outside want to come in the north campus only rather than any off-campus college. There are so many Extracurricular activities in the form of societies which shape an individual way more than studies. Also, many competitions and debates are conducted by every individual society.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is quite huge. It helps current students, freshers, and societies through their past knowledge which is quite appreciable. Senior students are very helpful and are always there whenever needed.

Admission

I got the admission in Daulat ram college through class 12th marks (merit-based) where I cleared the cutoff requirement of Delhi University. Admission process included all the documents of class tenth and twelfth and some other necessary documents. The admission process starts right after the declaration of 12th result. The admission process starts in June and happens until August.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of Daulat Ram college is quite appreciable. Professors work hard to make students understand the concepts and also help the students. Regular assignments and presentations are conducted by them which helps us more. also, extracurricular activities are encouraged by many societies.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting
