Likes
- The faculty is very good, not in teaching only but also in behaviour also. Shaheed bhagat singh college is the only developing college in Delhi university in terms of infrastructural development.
- Actually I am in history honours and my faculty routinely arranges field trip like rakhigarhi or Certain historical places. And the fees charged is also very nominal and many field trip which is situated in Delhi is free of cost.
- There is 50:50 ratio of girls and boys in college. Regular seminar regsrding women empowerment and feminism.
Dislikes
- There is nothing much be disliked about college but timing irritates me the most because many of my friend are from Gurugram amd Noida amd it took 2.5hrs to reach college amd it is not about one day the whole week except sunday.
- I think the college canteen should also be improved. Reserved seats for differently abled amd female students because college canteen is not so big
- Due to some infrastructural development we can't access our ground. Its okay this is a part lf developmental process but there should be access to sports complex nearby..
Course Curriculum Overview
Yes like I told earlier the course is same as upsc syllabus and not only upsc it also matches with the pg entrance paper. I think there is a huge focus on marxist history it should be equal for all the interpretations. Exam difficulty level isneasy to moderate
Internships Opportunities
I am not enrolled in any placement.Because I have to appear for u.P.S c exam. Actually, I also enrolled in Dean welfare intensity program there.I have to work for 20 hours per week. Add aStipend of five thousand rupees
Placement Experience
Actually, I am from history, honours And I am not sitting in the placement cell. But there are companies like zomato etcetera Who are the prime recuritors in our college. The average package is also 5 lakhs.At the highest package is twenty one lakhs. Recently , my friend also got a placement of seven lakh is from b.com honours
Fees and Financial Aid
Actually, I am from shaheed bhagat singh college, university of Delhi amd my course is History Honours. I am in 3rd year. If I talk about my fees, it is 16070 for the whole 3rd year. when I took admission in 2022 the annual fees was 11050 but due to developmental work in college the fees is increased to 16070. There is no any other fees in this course except exam fees. But there is also relaxation in fees. If I am a part of cultural society , 1/3rd of my fees will be returned. There are lot of scholarships and financial aid in our college. Like If any student having annual income less the 200000 ,can get 10-15k easily in each year. Apart from this, there will be an interview for the financial aid, if you can satisfy them you will be also rewarded with financial aid. There are also many private scholarships like Hdfc scholarship or mahindra scholarships, or nsp scholarship which you can apply online..
Campus Life
College, there are students from all over the India.Not from India.There are students from abroad also. The college has a green campus. College has the main ground and 2 to 3 small grounds.. Due to cultural society We can interact to different students from india. There is also a hotel which is called saksham portal. Here you can check your attendance from your practical marks and your signs your personal details also
Admission
Sahid bhagat singh college is one of the best college Of south campus university of delhi. Due to its naac grade and Strictness I like this college. The college ground is also very beautiful and big. There are many famous Eliminate of this college is like siddhartha malhotra etc. Each and every society here is active. There are lot of cultural happenings in this college . Cultural programme and cultural society , like purvanchal society or devbhoomi society is also here
Faculty
In history honours there are 8 professors and near about 250 students in all first second amd third year. There are tutorial classes in which you can approach tour teachers and after the regular classes they are also avilable in staff room. Saurabh vatsa sir the way he teaches is very impressive and the way he connects the point is so impressive. Every teacher is good in our course. I gave 4 exams here and I want to tell that exam is not that hard if you regularly focus in class. Only 2 to 3 students fail. If you talk about the course curriculam it is same as the upsc syllabus. For social science courses it is same as upsc syllabus
