what attracted me most towards this course is my eagerness to learn about numbers and data and the placements of this course from my college.the curriculum is really good. apart from the 3 core subjects, the other elective subjects like ability enhancement course, skill enhancement course and value addition course prepares us students for real-world. Areas of impovement may include better schedule of classes and more practical classes. we are provided 3 hours for writing 4 credit subjects' exam and 1 or 2 hours for other subjects.usually the timings for exams are : 9 : 00 a.m. (summer) 9 ; 30 a.m. (winter)

Companies like Educational initiatives, deloitte and D.E.Shaw provide both online and offline internship opportunities with a stipend of minimum 5k. Roles include marketing head, HR, Data analyst, etc. i haven't applied for any internships yet but i have been selected for innternships from CARS 24.

after 4th semester, students can sit for placements. placements are really good, recently my batchmates got placements of around 20 lpa. lot of Companies visit the campus for both online and offline opportunities. percentage of placed students revolves around 8 CGPA. after getting the degree, I'll pursue for master's degree but I'll also start applying for placements during 4th year. Companies visited includes D.E.Shaw, Deloitte, CARS 24, etc.

The year wise college fee structure is as follows : First year, it was around Rs.13375 Second Year : Rs. 12920. Third Year : Rs. 15610 (Currently I'm in 3rd year) Apart from the fees mentioned above only a semester-wise exam fees is to be deposited. it varies from person to person. If a person opt for more practical subjects, they'll have to pay more. Usually I have 5-6 practical subjects and I have to pay around Rs.1810 every semester (EWS Category). for SC/ST, It's around Rs.1500. For SC/ST the year-wise fees is around Rs. 11k For General Category, It's around Rs.15k There is no direct scholarship available. However a lot of opportunities come during one's way. like One scholarship is for girld only,etc.

Some major festivals include Renaissance (Annual college fest), Aashayein(diwali mela by NSS),e-buzz, etc. a lot of departmental fests are also organized frequently. Library is really vast diverse and peaceful. almost every book mentiones in the syllabi can be found there. space is also provided to study and laptops are also present there. ACs are there in some of the departments like statistics, smart board alongwith projector is present in every classroom and more that 5 computer labs are there in the college. one can find huge gymnasium and play ground in the campus which encourages students, also sports quota is supported in the college. student-run clubs and societies are too good and reputed. some of them include : Gender-forum, ecell, round-table conference, etc.

i don't live in college's hostel. i live in UGHG, It's a girls' hostel for all the students of DU. It can accomodate 600 girls simultaneously. Facilities like computer room study room tv room medical room visitor's room wi-fi are provided. food is way better that private PGs. and fees is less as compared to college hostels. fees is arount 86k for the whole year including all the charges. registration process is through hostels' ofiicil website : du-ughg.org . this hostel is situated at Mukherjee nagar, delhi -110009

i applied to banaras hindu university and i got confirmed admission too but it was way too away from my hometown. my other option was delhi university, in DU My first preference was hindu college but I didn't get it as the cut-off was way too high. my second preference was my college (kirorimal college : B.Sc.(h) Statistics ). In overall DU, This subjects is taught in 10 colleges only. I chose KMC over BHU as it was closed and DU is vast and diverse than BHU. I got rejected from Hindu college only, reason being the high cut-off. the admission procedure id through entrance exam CUET. Exams accepted for my course is Maths, and eligibility criteria includes students who had PCM in 11th and 12th standard. the admission procedure wasn't at all tough.

Faculty is Really Good. Till now, I had a really good experience. Not just mine but with other departments too. Students are heard and teachers are supportive. moreover, mentors are appointed for each and every student. In my department, I really liked Swati kujal mam, shikha sehgal mam,etc. for their dedication to make students understand in the easiest possible manner. there is no one that i disliked. undoubtedly there are teachers who sometimes fails to make things easy to understand, but the good part is they do't move further until and unless everyone understands the topic. every sem, there are 6 or more exams and the difficulty level increases each semester. but a consistent student can easily ace them.the course curriculum is 95% relevant. almost 90% students can pass the exams easily.
