- Teaching faculty of college is good and also very cooperative with almost every professor pursing phd degree in respective areas
- Miranda house has a good infrastructure and hotel facilities for students and provides top level learning facilities for personality development of Every student
- It is one of the best ranked college of nirf and does not provide any placement opportunities to ncweb students
Dislikes
- The arrangements and behaviour of management staff is quite rude towards ncweb students and doesn't allow them to any of the fest and culture program
- Department is quite irresponsive towards the need and doubt of stidents. Also batches and glasses were not divided till two months.
- Security guards are also very irresponsible towards their work . They never check id cards or any other document for recognition of respective student
Course Curriculum Overview
The relevance of courses and curriculum can be rated average as per the need of the time. The curriculum is very therotical and no real world application in the curriculum is involved. It can be combined with kind of real presentation of the situation to make it more relevant. However, this is a good course if you want to go on with prepration for any competitive exam as it is purely based on basic concepts of social and political life which made me to choose this as my degree option and there will be only one exam that too will be the final semester exam and you will have to give few test can say one in a month to check understanding of your subject.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fee structure of du for ba prog (ncweb) is 7130 rs along with a registration fees of 250rs and association fees of 350rs. Till now no information about any scholarship is being informed by university. Fees of my batchmates of other categories is same.
Campus Life
College helds annual and technical festivals regularly at every occasion or festival. Rass 2.0 was held in navratri and diwali mela for diwali . Also it organises a very popular fest named tempest . The books and journals are quite hard to access for ncweb students as they are not allowed in library of college and they had to manage to lend books from a corner called ncweb library and for regular students library facility is also very good. The classrooms of college is quite spacious with ac , projector and white and black boards available in evey classroom . The average capacity of classroom is 120 students. The campus offers NCC and NSS to its students and has the facility to play basketball. There is a student council for both ncweb and regular who manages students affair very well.
Admission
I applied in miranda house for ba prog and doe for itep . I got selected in both but chose miranda house over other as it was giving me opportunity to balance my time to get myself prepared for competitive world. The admission in my college ( miranda house) was based on merit and the first cut off for admission in general category was 88 percent marks in 12th board. Mine overall admission experience was quite disappointing as we have to wait a lot for the final confirmation and Orientation from college and the staff was very irresponsive.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio for ba prog course Is 1:130 . I like faculty of political theory and environmental science because of their way of teaching and interaction with students. Faculty of evs is best. There are 3 class test and one semester test Every 6 month with average difficult y and almost every student makes it to next semester. However the course curriculum is quiet complicated .
