Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is also great. They provide self learning material which is very helpful. It has been made by great professors of several universities of DU. In simple words, they provide brief notes and also help us by mentioning any books we need to refer just in case.

Internships Opportunities

4

DU SOL offers several internships and courses, more like diplomas but it is actually very good. They have a wide range of different things to choose from. Some courses are not even available in the regular universities.

Fees and Financial Aid

DU SOL is quite affordable making it easier on a lot of people to pursue a degree from there. For semester 1, we were charged merely 21,000 rupees which inclused the books, tuition fees etc. This was for my course BA psychology honors.

Campus Life

5

One great thing about DU SOL is that, the seniors are great. They are very helpful and understanding. They also organized a freshers party. DU SOL had a freshers party. They organize such things to make their students feel good and the students are doing this for each other. It is great.

Admission

I am chronically ill. While in India, I believe there is not much the government is doing. I believe DU SOL was a great option for me. To be fair, the only option for me. Pursuing a degree while having physical limitations seemed impossible until I got into DU SOL. Now I can earn my degree from here which would hold the same importance as the regular college degree.

Faculty

4

The faculty is good over here, mostly. Some are really good, some are average. The thing is one day a great professor will come in and teach who makes the whole topic interesting but next day its someone else who is not that great. Exams are easy. Internals and Practicals both MCQ based. Semester 1 theory exams are theoratical.

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
