Ecobomic hours is highly market relevant and related to the real world applications. Due to this relevance, placement of this course is high. This influenced me to choose this course. The end semester exams occurs after 3 months which is moderate level difficult as is the course. The internal assessments are taken throughout the semester on frequent intervals. Difficulty level is high as is the course.

Internships through college's placement cell starts from 2nd year itself. Though you can apply for it in 2nd year but it's usually hard to crack it in 2nd yr . Here also companies like Deloitte visits. A girls form Psychology department recently got an internship for the post of data analysts with a stipend of 1 lakh.

Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd year. Very prominent companies like Deloitte visits for campus placement. The post of data analysts, consultant etc are offered. The highest package offered till now is of 49lpa which was from Economics hons.

My course is BA (Hons.) Economics. The average yearly fees is Rs. 18,000. This 18,000 is inclusive of tution fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees. For the end semester examination, we need to pay extra as per our subject selection. If the selected subjects consist of a practical paper then the examination fee for that subject is a little high. There is a scholarship test for which I don't have a lot of idea. Also, the annual fees of other courses are a little more than mine.

The annual fest "Tarang" is held on the month of February . Other than this department fests take place once Tarang is done. Library is one of the best place of my college. Excellent books and journals are available.

I did apply for srcc and st Stephen's above LSR which I am in now. I chose the 2 colleges above LSR as it was better famed for economics hons than LSR. I could not grab srcc or at Stephen's as my cuet score could not match their cut off .

The faculty to study ratio on an average is 1 per 70 students for my course. The faculty is very student friendly and very approachable. A problem of any sort can be easily discussed with them, be it an issue with lectures, attendance, tutorials, internal assessment anything. I love my General elective subject's faculty. She teaches me maths and is one of the best faculties I have known. However, I didn't my maths sir who taught me on 1st semester because of him not teaching very well. He eventually repeated the same thing in the whole semester. The exam pattern is like we have a total of 160 marks for each core subject. 70 marks is from internals which the college provides and 90 is from end semester exams. The 70 marks are divided into 30 (internal assessment) and 40 (continuous assessment) . The 30 marks are divided into 6 marks for lecture attendance, 12 for internal assessment 1 and 12 for internal assessment 2. Internal assessment is taken in the form of tests, assignments , presentations. The 40 marks are divided into 5 marks for tutorial attendance and rest 35 for ca1 and ca2. Tutorials are doubt solving classes which is taken by dividing the class into 3 groups. Each group has tutorial on different days.

There are stylish cafeterias around the College but expensive as is the place. The area around also provides us with gym, parks, local markets. There are hangout places like tea stall, in and out (24 seven) .
