It also prepares you for further academic pursuits 3) they can opt for more practical learning apart from classroom learning, they can make field trips and let student know about research also 4) the end exams start after 4-5 months of sem start. U are given well enough time to prepare gradually. The assignments, test can make it hectic but if u complete the given work in time, u can prepare well enough for the exams and do well.

Campus Life

3

1) the library is big enough and it has really good space for people who love to study in a good environment and peace. The library has a good collection 2) the annual fest is called manjari and takes place in either in april or may. And every department has their own fest and which are also fun to attend. 3) some classrooms have ac in them and many don't. Many new classes were also made with well made facilities such as presentor for a good teaching experience. 4) there are numerous societies, clubs in the college. Such as music, dance, debate societies. U need to be every engageful in the societies and have to attend them properly while also balancing your college studies.

Admission

1) me and my batchmates all gave cuet. Through cuet we filled the colleges names and our name came up on the list. So we were assigned this college through cuet and we had to accept it. I chose this college because Delhi university students are well known. And i also heard the history dept of daulat ram college is pretty good 2) i didn't apply for other colleges than du colleges and i got daulat ram assigned to me thus i took it. 3) the exam through which u get admission in du is through CUET only. The eligibility is you have to pass you 12th with atleadt 45 percentage. And you have to have studied the subjects in your 12th for those whom u appeared in the CUET exams for. The cutoffs depend on the year and also the marks of the students. The cutt offs go usually high for delhi university. For my course and my college, the cut offs were 740+ for general and different for other reservationsl categories. You can also get admission through sports category, where you will have to give an exam for you respective sport. The cut offs also depend on the course. For eg. the cut offs for psychology courses are usually higher as it is offered in some selective colleges of delhi university only. 4) the cuet exams are pretty easy if u are well versed of your twelfth.

Faculty

4

1)The faculty to student ratio is satisfactory, the professors are very approachable and will help in any kind of questions 2) my own faculty (history) is good. The professors are very well versed and you get to learn a lot from them in addition to experiences. The political science faculty is also good. And also the psychology department. 3)don't know much about other faculties 4) there are in total two exams- one mid sem and end sem. Mid sems are easy if u prepare from the first of the semester. And if u prepare for the mid sems u just need to prepare the needed materials and it will be good.

Interview Experience

1

No i did not appear for any interview rounds as for the college and my course DU only allows admissions through the CUET process and once u get your marks you will be allotted to a college and either you will have to accept it or you can reject and wait for another list for another college

Night Life

5

1)The whole area is very student friendly as students from different parts of india come to study. 2) if u live in a flat nightlife is very amazing but even if live in hostel or pg there are not much restrictions and u can explore the whole delhi gradually. 3) hostel have an intime of about 8:30 or 9 and they let exceptions 2-3 times in the month. The campus life is very happening if you make it. 4) i live in old gypta colony, which is filled witu students. There are various places to hangout. The most famous in the north campus, are tom uncle's maggie point, sudama's chai, dolma aunty's momo and many more.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
