Course Curriculum Overview

4

Like in political science Hons. Regular mock parliament, conclave and interview of major political personalities helped the most in understanding the common truth with one to one interaction. These are also included in the curriculum activities and also College societies are also helpful and play a major role in transformation of the individual's personality development. Teaching methods are so simple as all teachers teach in the simple language. The exam duration is about 3 hours or 1 hour depends on the subjects which you have selected. The timings of the exams is from morning 9 or 9:30. Exams are not as difficult all papers are moderate as it depends on you that you have studied or not.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I am currently in 2nd year. First of all in 1st year I have paid around 9600 rupees and it basically include the overall stuffs including in the BA (hons) political science assignment it doesn't include the lab activity and so on. And later on in 2nd year I have paid around 10,150 rupees and it included all stuffs. Basically as I had observed in my batchmates that no one get benefitted because of the caste certificate everyone's fee structure is same till now.

Campus Life

The mehak which is the annual fest of our college. Departmental fests and other occasionally fests are organised which includes conclave, interview session and most important MUN which is organised by the Department of political science. Major books are available in the library and you are not facing any problem in issuing the books. All the study materials are available and well organised ( especially books of foreign affairs and ancient times). College societies which improves students confidence, communication and social interaction skills. It also help in the personality development skills of the students.

Admission

First of all this college is alloted to me as I had given the CUET exam in which I had got Sri Aurobindo College which is good and trusted college for the BA hons. political science course. I follow the procedure that cuet asked for and it totally depend on the CUET admission process. The addmission process of the college is you have to pass the common entrance examination test (CUET) and you have to score good marks in around 5 subjects including general test or you can score good marks in 3 subjects also in which you have to include general test.after that according to the CUET addmission process you are able to get addmission in the Delhi University college.

Faculty

The faculty is too friendly and supportive too. Every teacher have one to one interaction with students and all are well behaved and well experienced. Dr. AN Mishra sir is the senior most teacher in the faculty of political science Hons. All the facilities are most hardworking and dedicated towards students as they provide every material individually to their students.

Night Life

There is no gym. Canteen is good and well managed interms of cleanliness and food. Taste is good and well organised fresh meal. There is no hostel facility.campus timing is around morning 8 am to evening around 7:30pm Hangout place, as I have mentioned the college is located in malviya nagar which includes the most trendy and beautiful location which includes Haus khas village Qutub minar Malviya nagar Mehrauli archaeological park Select CityWalk mall Cafes and restaurants and many more.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
