Likes
- Lakshmibai College is a Girls college so you don't see any boy lurking around. Boys are not allowed inside the college and also there's a police car with 2 female police officers for the safety of girls.
- The Faculty staff of Lakshmibai College is great, teachers interact with students and know every student individually to give proper attention.
- The infrastructure of the college is changing as new buildings are being made so everything is new.
Dislikes
- Sometimes there is water shortage in some of the washrooms which is quite annoying.
Course Curriculum Overview
First year consists of Maths as a subject which is moderate-tough. Second year has statistics which also is moderate-tough and all other practical subjects Third year has theory which is easy-moderate All over course curriculum is student friendly and informatively- relevant
Placement Experience
The college doesn't offer any science stream courses. The Average Package of in-college placement is 3LPA and the maximum is around 10LPA. Most B.A. subjects required masters if you want a high paying job so most students either apply for masters or prepare for Government jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure of Delhi University depends on Colleges and varies from college to college. The B.A. hons. Economics course structure of Lakshmibai College for First year was around 7500 which got decreased to 6800 in Second year and in third yesr it increased to 7800-8000.
Campus Life
My overall college experience was Not what i have expected since we got lockdown from second semester half which ended till 6th semester so 90% of my college life was at home. But that doesn't mean other students had the same experience. Du has many fests lined up during diwali season with free entry for all DU students which is a bliss, Concerts and Functions are also great.
Admission
Other colleges i applied in was Indraprastha College DU, Kalindi kunj DU, Shyam lal college DU. IP college was my first preference but unfortunately i couldn't get in. I went to Shyam lal but didn't like the environment of co-ed so i opted Lakshmibai College which was girls only as I felt safe choosing it.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is great with every teacher being academically well achieved. Every professor pay attention to individual student listening to their problems, whether academic or life related and the staff is great. Being an economics student, practical knowledge is very important which the economics faculty gave very well. The exams on the other hands are moderate-tough which is what you expect from Economics Honors. The exam system is very easy to understand with you only filling the exam form, which normally coats nothing.
Night Life
Delhi University North Campus is Famous for its Happening life, tho i haven't lived it personally. Tom uncle Maggi point, Chacha di hatti, Buddha garden and more. The nightlife of North Campus is also very happening with a lot of cafes and clubs in Kamla Nagar.
