College review by me

I had the intrest in Biology alot , even in school time specially plant biology that's why I have choosen to study Botany Honours. I don't think it help in real world applications..I think more faculties should be hired, as we have the limit faculties in our college. Timings are limited as we have to write around 30-35 pages in only 2 hours. It is not as such difficult. Teaching methods are good they teach by doing practicals , and digitally also.

Previously, I had paid rs14000 fee , but it increased to rs16110 this year .. Infrastructure is same as it was before, no extra facilities added further. All categories on the basis of caste pay the same fee . My whole class pays the same fee. Every year we get the opportunity to fill the scholarship form . I have filled it in my 1st year I had all the documents and everything but I didn't got any Freeship.. Every year on the site of maitreyi college you will get the notification of scholarship forms .. We have the best and beautiful garden in whole delhi University.. overall the professors are so good ..we get the opportunity for placement also ..

We get a annual fest from the whole college and every department also celebrate their own departmental fest , other than this we got a fresher's and a farewell party every year , along with diwali mela , Dandiya nights , halloween and so on... We have all the possible books related to syllabus available in Library. Sports and extracurricular activities offered so often in college campus . We don't have as such student- run social groups but we have so many societies and groups .

I had applied for hansraj college also in North campus, I got maitreyi college in 1st admission list .I chose maitreyi college over other colleges because it have a great department of science and my course is in science field. I have not got rejected from any college, I got maitreyi college and I applied for it . Admission process is similar to all the Delhi University colleges and it have the common university entrance test (CUET) , by which I got addmission here. Admission process was a little tough and confusing but by referring U tube I applied for it.

Faculties are less in number as compared to students I have in my college, we have limited professors in every department. Faculties are approachable but only for those who are interactive in class not for every student. I like Dr Mansi gogna alot she is the faculty of Botany she is so approachable, she have a aura , and she is so supportive and kind hearted. We have 2 exams in a year and 1 in each semester..and other than this we give lots of tests , assignment, projects as internal exam.

I have not given any group discussion, or any interviews till now , I have given the tests which are taken by our professors in every 2-3 days in a semester. The pattern is same as the syllabus.. I have prepared it from the previous year questions and syllabus and the topics covered in class.

We don't have gym in our college, we have the library and it is big and have so many books . College get closed around 6 :00 pm . Hostel and campus timings are the same it closes around 6 pm. Inside College we have the best hangout place is our garden and cafeteria and outside it can be a Satya niketan where I live ..It is so safe around the South campus to roam around as it have high sequrity here.
